My pet cat was quite ill. We were seen quickly and all the staff members were wonderful. They seemed to be working together well. We were seen quickly, my cat was assessed and treated quickly and appropriately. We were able to go home in a couple hours with a diagnosis and treatment that worked well. My cat was less than impressed with the temperature taking and suprapubic urine draw. My husband and I, human health care providers, were very pleased with the care. I let him sit on the deck with supervision the next day. We were surprised by the open concept treatment area. We saw so many sweet animals and we were praying for all of them. If we ever need ER vet care again, we are driving straight to VEG.
I took my senior pittie mix Maple here with what turned out to be horrible pancreatitis. She was hospitalized and I stayed with her all night and they made me up a bed so we would be comfortable together. This was my first time being overnight and I emergency vet and I didn’t know what to expect. Everyone was so kind and stopped to give her lots of love and reassurance no matter how busy they were. I really felt like they cared about her and wanted to get to know her which made all the difference in her care plan I am certain. They also refunded some costs on my bill for things that they didn’t end up needing to do, which I thought was really kind of them. It was obvious that they wanted to make sure that they billed me fairly. VEG is my favorite emergency vet because they employ gentle handling and allow you to stay with your pet the entire time. No secret back area where you’re not sure what they’re doing with your animal, or what kind of care they are getting. I cannot mention everyone who helped us, but Dr Zaremba, Em, Gretchen, Aubrey, we are so grateful. I didn’t catch your name but the person working the desk was so kind and helpful and took a turn hand feeding Maple when she became more interested in playing than eating when she started to feel better. What a talented and kind group of humans. Thank you for saving my little old lady.
I had a great experience at VEG NORA once again. Despite my pup being in pain, the level of care is top tier as soon as you walk in the door. I especially want to shoutout Dr.Tom for being so good at explaining and reassuring me when I had questions or concerns about the treatment plan. Other special shoutouts to Lydia, Abbi and Jams for being amazing at what they do!!! Miranda & Alyssa were also amazing at helping out. I really appreciated the effort of listening to me when I explained what has worked best for Stella in the past in regards to restraint and what not. Overall I just had a lovely experience and I am glad I trusted VEG to help Stella. Hopefully we won’t need to return, but it feels good to have VEG in my back pocket for any future needs. Thank you for everything girls!
They helped me as soon as I walked in the door, they send me an invoice before even starting my services so I knew exactly what I was paying for and what they were doing. They moved me into a room since my dog couldn’t open her eye, they dimmed the lights for her to help her eye from hurting, and they let me stay with her the entire time. They explained everything as they were doing it. 2 ladies gave my dog all the cuddles, and the Dr explained everything and showed me the cut in her eye. They figured out what was wrong and helped my dog all in less than an hour. I had the rX in my hand and we left. So grateful I found this place. I came straight from work and they were all extremely kind and attentive. I can’t stop raving about them. I would 100% recommend them to literally everyone I know. Ty Dr. Santiago and the other 2 ladies! And the entire VEG team! You guys have an amazing team and I’m so grateful for my amazing experience.
Literally everyone was AMAZING. We spent around 10 hours there and we loved everyone and especially the main staff caring for Luna, and let’s be honest - caring for US as well. They not only are great at what they do, they listened enough to know personal details about us and our situation in such a thoughtful and accommodating way. I am chronically ill and wish I could receive that quality of care. ❤️ Lindsey, Brent, Luna & Babes
The experience was new to me, ideally I would have like to have someone knowledgeable and who loves animals and their job. My Toy Poodle broke his leg. I was told this was a great place with reasonable prices. Upon arriving immediately after paying $500 for 2 x-rays they began to push for surgery. I requested that they provide me all options because I was unable to afford surgery. They recommended credit care to pay for the surgery. I asked what could be done today. They mislead me into thinking he had a full brace when they only put a temporary splint which kept his leg from healing properly. When I returned 2 weeks later to get his bandages changed surgery was no longer their recommendation but they stated he needed immediate amputation. After getting a 2nd opinion because I no longer trusted their opinion due too many inconsistencies in the paperwork. I was informed his leg was not set properly to heal effectively. But they do see where his leg is attempting to heal itself. I was able to get the appropriate care at another facility. This was a very difficult situation although my experience at this location was not ideal. Courtney was the only one who was helpful and understanding.
If I could give VEG more than 5 stars, I would. This clinic literally saved my dog’s life, and if you are ever in an emergency, this is exactly where you need to go. Before coming to VEG, we rushed our sweet boy, Adam, to another vet after he went into severe anaphylactic shock. We were told to prepare our goodbyes and that he likely wouldn’t make it. Adam is my best friend and constant companion, and hearing that was devastating. But VEG didn’t give up on him. Adam came in in critical condition requiring severe intervention, and this team stepped up immediately. His condition was incredibly complex—he was bleeding internally, which compromised his lungs, heart, and kidneys. The shock had inflamed his gallbladder, and he had rapidly lost 85 percent of the blood water in his body, causing severe and rapid dehydration. This was serious, life-saving work that truly could not have been achieved by just anyone. They didn’t just guess—they took the time to properly triage, evaluate, and investigate exactly what he needed, immediately performing X-rays, an ultrasound, bloodwork, and a heart tap. What makes VEG exceptional is their communication and transparency. They discussed costs with us every step of the way, helping us determine the best course of action for the price without ever compromising Adam’s care. Through a terrifying situation, they made our family feel completely supported. They answered every question with patience and kindness, and honestly, I have never received better treatment myself at a human hospital than my pet received here. Because of their relentless hard work and unmatched skill, Adam made an absolute turnaround in just 2 days. He went from being critically sick to being full of life again. This level of care takes an incredible team, and I want to make sure every individual is recognized for their hard work: To the doctors—Dr. Tom, Dr. Beene, Dr. Kotani, and Dr. Dockery—thank you for your brilliant medical expertise and refusal to give up on my boy. To the nurses—Paige, Sara, Gretchen, and Laine—thank you for treating Adam with such gentleness and skill. To the vet techs, Robin and Jerri, and ultrasound tech Abby—your hard work did not go unnoticed, and you were crucial in saving him. And to everyone working behind the scenes who we didn’t meet directly—thank you. Saving Adam took a village, and we appreciate every single one of you. This team is a group of true professionals and heroes. We will never forget what you did for our family.
