I have a special needs boy who struggles at the vets, with strangers, with restraint. We were recommended to try Surf Paws and I am so glad we did! From the moment we arrived our needs were accommodated. The staff were amazing as was Dr. Miliaresis. She was very supportive and more than willing to work within my boys comfort level. I’m really disappointed with my experience at Surf Paws. I called in for a simple urine test for my dog and was very clear about what I needed. Instead of just helping with that, they immediately tried to upsell me on an additional $82 office visit that I did not need. I ended up waiting at the clinic for quite a long time to talk with a doctor, only to feel pressured into paying for services that weren’t necessary for my situation. It felt like the priority was generating more revenue rather than genuinely helping pet owners and their animals. As a responsible pet owner, I’m happy to pay for needed care — but I don’t appreciate being pushed toward extra charges that don’t add value. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.

We take our dogs and cat here and everyone at Surf Paws has been very kind and helpful. The staff is loving to the animals and compassionate when we had a hard time. They went above and beyond to make our experience as much like being with family as possible. I highly recommend them as care givers for your loved pet.

I have been a client at another local veterinary clinic for over 25 years, and I decided to move over to Surf Paws which speaks volumes in itself. The staff are knowledgeable, accommodating, and are very welcoming. The overall flow, and energy of this clinic aligns with everything I want in an establishment that will provide care for my fur baby. I highly recommend them, and if you’re looking for a more cozy, comfortable, and smaller feel, this place is it!

Dr. M and her staff have been taking great care of my corgi Butters for over a decade. They always treat him like he's part of their pet family and I know they care very much for his well-being. It's always easy to get an appointment and their charges are reasonable compared to other vet hospitals in town. It's a comfort knowing my Butters is in good hands with Surf Paws!!

Our 14 year old cat started to rapidly lose weight for about three weeks. We called Surf Paws and quickly secured an appointment. Our first visit, we were immediately greeted by friendly staff and ushered into a private screening room. Within a minute, our frightened cat was tended to by Dr Cristina Miliaresis. We agreed to a lab blood test to determine the cause of our cat's rapid weight loss. A few days later, we received a call by the doctor confirming that our family cat has kidney disease in need of treatment. Our next appointment was immediately confirmed. This experience is all new to me since our indoor cats have been drama free for years. The staff and doctors answered my questions, explained our cat's options in an easy to understand manner and treated us with professionalism. I'm glad we called Surf Paws. We want compassionate care for our mature cat during her remaining time with us.

This veterinarian Surf Paws is the best 👌 in Hawaii Kai,. It's the finest we've been to in Hawaii. The Staff is kind,caring and respectful. They have taken wonderful care of our baby Majesty since we got her at 6 months old from the Cat Cafe. She will be two years old October 1st 2022. Thank you to all the Doctor's and Staff.
