MedVet Hilliard

We live over an hour away, but medvet Hilliard was able to get Peanut in quickly upon arrival. She was severely egg bound and as the X-ray revealed, if we hadn’t taken her in she would have died. The staff and avian/exotics team was incredible the whole way through. They were so gentle and took the utmost care in ensuring peanuts comfort and survival. Dr Oglesbee called me both before and after her surgery which i immensely appreciated due to how fearful I was for her. They also added in a hormonal implant for her which I was SO thankful for. Also the day after, I didn’t get the name, but the tech/Dr examining Peanut to clear her for discharge was so thoughtful and kind. She was worried that she wasn’t eating and thought to turn off the brooder/incubator fan/light (I can’t remember which exactly) because she thought maybe the noise was disturbing her and keeping her from eating. Just the fact she even had that thought impressed me and showed me their level of care. Also I found their prices to be very reasonable for both an emergency situation & and exotic patient. She is now getting back to her old self and recovering well. So thank you for saving Peanuts life!!♥️♥️

These people are amazing! They have been caring for my bunny, Father Fluffy Bottom. The front desk staff are very friendly, especially Lauren. She checked on him while he was in the back for me, went above and beyond and took pics of him for me to see how he was doing while recovering from the different procedures. The back staff (vet techs and doctors) were also incredible! Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Oglesbee (exotic docs) definitely know their stuff! They listened to everything attentively, they kept me well informed on what was going on with him before, during, and after procedures, and they sent me home with extremely detailed instructions and all the meds necessary. They taught me how to do administer injections and subcutaneous fluids. When I called with questions, they took the time to speak to me and give me advice on how to make my bunny better. The office itself was extremely clean and neat. Some may say it is too expensive, but remember, when it comes to your baby’s life, you get what you pay for, and they came through for me and my bunny! I feel they all saved my bunny’s life, and I could not be more grateful!

We had to bring our kitties to them. These people are so amazing!!! So caring and understanding. They care about our animals so much and we r so thankful for their work. Our kitties made it through and they r happy. We feel so lucky to have MedVet and these caring people to keep our animals well and with us.

I took my 11 y/o cat Buddy in when he was having respiratory distress. Called ahead to MedVet and let them know I was on my way and as soon as I got there they took him to emergency and ran tests right away to figure out what he needed. I was extremely impressed with the care and quickness of care they took with handling his condition. He had to be hospitalized for a few days and I was given updates on what they were doing, what he was given and pictures and descriptions about his condition at least twice a day including calls from the doctor and caretakers watching over him as well as where we were financially. Buddy is finally home recovering and doing significantly better now that he's home with the medications and treatments prescribed ❤️‍🩹 I don't believe he'd be in this good of shape waiting for an appointment at his usual vet that was days out to see him and I owe it all to medvets quick action and their accurate care

I brought my kitty in at around 10pm. We were greeted promptly by a vet friendly front desk person and he was taken back for evaluation after a very short wait. We had good timing, the reception area was empty, perhaps because of had started snowing. Every tech i met was kind and efficient, as was the Dr. All in all, it was as stress free as an emergency vet visit could be. Very clean facility, too. The follow up instructions were clear, and i appreciated that they labeled his specific medication dosages on the syringes for both prescriptions.

Stop your search if you are looking for tortoise expert advice and treatments with real time experience and extensive learning curve. Do not only rely on social media advice which could turn disastrous. 🐢❤️

We brought our sweet kitty Sylvia into MedVet for an emergency, which resulted in having to put her down. I couldn't ask for more from this wonderful team. They handled Sylvia with incredible care and gave us a lot of options while being realistic about her situation. They are compassionate, understanding, and kind. The entire staff made this difficult time a little easier and we are very grateful.
