Gulfport Veterinarian

My dog had some sort of neurological episode on Saturday in the morning. Most vets are closed so I found this one open. I raced there to get my dog checked out. By the time we arrived she seemed to be doing better. She had stopped foaming at the mouth and regained motor function of her legs. But I wanted a dr to check her out. After waiting for a few minutes, I was called I told them what happened. I was told I don’t think we can help you. Then I told them this was my first time here. I was told we’re not taking new patients you’ll have to go somewhere else. So much for empathy I guess. You could have helped but you gave me so much more.

We love this vet office! Everyone is super friendly, prices are affordable, and they’re always helpful when we call with questions or need a prescription. Dr. Ohman and the vet techs have been great with all four of our dogs—we really appreciate the care and support we get here.

I absolutely love Gulfport Veterinarian Hospital. I originally went there for a second opinion. The first vet wanted to extract 8 teeth from my kitty mouth. At Gulfport, Princess was saved from having to be toothless for the rest of her life as well as unnecessary tooth extraction. Since then they have loved and cared for seven dogs in in addition to our beloved Princess and Harlee both whom will always be in our hearts.

We’ve been taking our pets here for over twenty years and they are so amazing. Really care about your pet and my dog who has anxiety gets lots of love and attention when we are there. Love how they are up to date on latest preventative care and the staff is so sweet.

Yesterday I came into Gulfport vet 5 minutes till close because my dog had an ear infection and they were so nice and understanding and cleaned my dogs ears out with no complaints. On top of that 5 years ago they saved my other dogs life when she had a 10 pound tumor and needed her spleen removed. They had a care credit program that really helped me with that and because of their excellent care she is still alive at 14. I had come in just for shots and they took great care and found something I had no idea about and gave her excellent care and treatment. I can’t recommend them enough. They are so friendly and well experienced.

We started taking this vet with our first dog. RIP Scallywag! They have been amazing, understanding, respectful and genuinely care about our dogs. One of the babies who was purchased locally is also now a regular patient of this hospital. I have been labeled a "back yard breeder" but at least you know what you get! These dogs are loved, happy, healthy And you can always find me for questions about your baby. I will use them for every litter and health check!

I'm a new customer and they fit me in which I'm so pleased about. My puppy is on a tight vaccine schedule. Very friendly staff and definitely a community experience.
