Mountain Star is the reason my cat still has both of her eyes. When we moved to Denver our cat got into a little scuffle when she got outside one day and her eye became infected. We took her to our primary vet and her eye just got worse. After taking her to another emergency vet they recommended going to Mountain Star. The exam and treatment plan were pricey but I can honestly say it's because you're getting what you pay for. The exam was extremely thorough and detailed, the follow up communication and care was excellent, and every time we walked into the building the customer service was on point. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Easily the best vet experience I've ever had. And of course, our cat's eye is almost as good as new. They did a tremendous job! I included photos of our cat's eye before and after. We really thought she was going to lose it and were so blown away at the improvement. Thank you Mountain Star!! This clinic was wonderful from the moment I walked in. The facility was very clean, drinks were readily available, and the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my pup in their care. When I first called about my dog’s eye issue, they were upfront in letting me know the exam would start at $490. While that was a lot to hear at first, I appreciated the honesty so there were no surprises for me later. After going through the appointment, I can see why, the exam was thorough, with multiple tests to ensure we had the full picture of the issue. Dr. Conway took the time to explain everything to me clearly, offered her recommendations, and made sure my dog felt safe and comfortable during the visit. She also gave me peace of mind through a difficult moment when I learned my pup would be blind in one eye. That news came as a shock, but she validated my emotions and helped me process it with patience and compassion. Since the visit, my dog has been feeling much better and is acting more like himself again, which makes me so grateful. I already have a follow-up scheduled, and once I’m able, I plan to bring my other dog in for preventative care as well. Overall, I highly recommend Mountain Star! Dr. Conway and the team provided not only excellent veterinary care but also genuine kindness and support.

When my husband brought our pup in for an initial evaluation, Dr. Chavkin expressed care & concern for our dog and also for how my husband was dealing with the situation, and that meant a lot. Also, Dr. Chavkin came in very early in the morning on his day off, with Morgan, to perform surgery on our dog in a timeframe that worked with our holiday travel schedule. We really appreciate them prioritizing our dog’s health & our needs in this situation. I was referred to Mountain Star to have my dog evaluated for an issue she is having with her eyes. My experience at this clinic was very positive. Every staff member who I interacted with, including the receptionists and the assistant who was in the exam room with the doctor, was kind and showed concern and compassion to Sadie and I. I found Dr. Brendlin to be competent, thorough, and very patient in her manner. She listened to all my concerns, answered my questions, and addressed the issue of what I can realistically expect in the outcome of my dog’s treatment. She communicates clearly and I appreciated her gentle approach with my dog. I would not hesitate to recommend Mountain Star. The patient care they provide is excellent.

Drs Hoppers, Cory, and staff are amazing. My dog needed immediate derm support and while everybody was booked out, Dr Hoppers made time because his case was more than unusual. I always felt supported, they utilized their expansive network, and we did our best for my precious boy. Today my family made the difficult decision to put him down and save him from the pain he is in, but I will forever be thankful for the team and everything they did to make this the right decision, not one made in haste. I had an outstanding experience with Mountain Star Veterinary Specialists for a dermatology visit. From start to finish, the level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail was exceptional. Dr. Dr. Mazulis, Leah, and her staff are truly incredible—extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and clearly an expert in her field. She took the time to dig into every detail, explain the "why" behind everything, and create a thoughtful, effective treatment plan. What really stood out was the responsiveness and follow-up from the entire team. They don’t just treat and move on—they stay engaged and make sure your pet is actually improving. Most importantly, they succeeded where others hadn’t—my dog struggled with chronic allergies and constant ear infections, and thanks to Dr. Mazulis and the team, those issues are finally under control. The difference in my dog’s comfort and quality of life is incredible!! Although the initial diagnosis and treatment was expensive, it’s saved me thousands of dollars in vet bills where I was going every 2 weeks due to ear and skin issues. You will see the ROI. I joined my daughter who had to bring her Golden into the clinic to have his eye removed. It was a very emotional experience for my daughter. I flew out from Detroit to be her emotional support dad. But the techs and doctors here made her feel very comfortable and took the time to hear her concerns and answered them all. This made the surgery and wait time afterwards bearable. They kept her updated and made the experience, as tramatic as it was, acceptable. I want to give a shout out to Mandy. Thank you for putting Sarah more at ease than I thought possible. And thank you to the team there, for the love and concern for Koda and my daughter.
