Cat Care Hospital has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on over 126 reviews on Google
I brought my semi feral, antisocial tabby in for itchy ears yesterday and the staff were so sweet with her and kept her so calm the whole time. She is noticeably happier and more energetic today now that her ear is fixed up. Their pricing is very fair as well. Highly, highly recommend.
This is an easy 5-star rating. Cat Care Hospital is the best! First, I love that this is a cat-only facility, so it's quieter, cleaner, and much calmer for our cats than a normal veterinary hospital. The veterinarians and technicians are kind and responsive, even if it's a follow-up phone call. The doctors have always taken the time to explain things in detail, and it's apparent they genuinely love cats. Aside from routine check-ups, they've helped us with medications, surgeries, and, unfortunately, with the loss of one of our cats. The latter was followed up with a kind, handwritten letter from the entire staff. If you want a great clinic for your cats, this is the place to go!
My 15-year-old kitty developed a respiratory issue that resulted in a growth in his sinuses. After several attempts to resolve this with another veterinarian, they recommended that I try another clinic more specialized or equipped to diagnose his issue (and I appreciate them doing so. They did the best they could and appreciate their efforts.) My friend recommended this place so I decided to give them a chance. The team was so empathetic and transparent with me about his situation. He absolutely loved both the vet and tech. They went over all of our options. It was clear to me that they cared about both Mario and us as well. It was probably the best experience I’ve had with a vet in a very long time. We’re undergoing palliative care but in just a few days undergoing the treatment plan that Dr. Elisa Coccaro suggested, he’s feeling so much better. We’re monitoring him and giving him all the love. We plan to keep in touch with the clinic as this progresses as well as add our other two cats to their client roster. I feel a lot of trust in this team and that means a lot as we navigate our little guy’s end of life journey. Thank you so much. Seriously.
My cats got allergic reaction to a medicine and that was the reason of my visit here. The staff was friendly and attentive. I did have to wait a little past my appointment time to get checked. The nurses are nice as well as the doctor. Vet visits are not cheap which i found out afterwards so so don’t be surprised. If they tell you they want to do treatments or anything else, just be sure to ask about the cost beforehand. I would recommend this place for cat owners.
Thank you for helping our little guy cross the rainbow bridge today. We appreciate your guidance and care that allowed us to have a little more time with him. Your professionalism and empathy along with absolute transparency of what our options were made a very difficult situation a lot easier to cope with. Our little family appreciates you all so much. Thank you.
They treat our cats like they are their own cats. They are kind, sweet and patient especially Dr. C, Cynthia and Matt. The front desk girls are sweeties sweet can be.
My cat is very small 4-5lbs & almost a year old. She was a stray that showed up to my house June of 2024 & she is timid. I dropped off lil kitty 5.30.24 for a spay surgery & required rabies shot. Got a call around 1050 that the surgery was over but that she possibly had a seizure because she peed on herself & seemed to be showing signs of a seizure. I was also advised that she bit a tech during this time. Because she had not had a prior rabies vax they had to report this to the county. So incident was reported to Guilford Co & they were to reach out to Davidson county which is county we live in. I waited till 2pm & called cat care back because I had not heard anything. At that time I was told I'd get a call back from vet. By 3pm & no phone call so I called back. Spoke to whomever answered phone & asked if I could come get my cat I was advised no I needed speak to county. I asked for # so I can call myself since time was nearing end of day & this hospital refused to release my cat to me due to incident. Was given 2 wrong #s. I asked if she could then tell me exactly how bad this bite was from a tiny cat there was silence. I said ma'am do you not know? She responded with She was not tech bitten, I said again you don't know she then said it was a minor bite injury. I said again when can I come & Pickup my cat because I do not want her there over the weekend. She again told me I couldn't that it was the law. We hung up & I called Davidson co animal shelter & they gave me # I needed to call. I spoke to the officer there & He was unaware of the incident so I explained & he proceeded to tell me that yes we could pick up our cat & she could be in confinement for 10days in the home. I spoke to officer of Guilford Co & was advised that yes she could be released to me & that there seems to be misunderstanding at the clinic. The officer told me that usually they are not even aware that the animal is still in the possession of the vet, so there is usually no rush in handling the case before 5pm... so this shouldn't have happened & my cat should have been released to me & my county would've handled it appropriately from there. Ik there are laws about rabies I get that. But I had to jump through hoops to get my cat back before end of day because of miscommunication & knowledge from the facility. I understand that cats react differently to medicine given & things can happen but this was the worst experience by far from any vet I've ever been to. I feel my 5lb cat was overly medicated & this possibly could've been reason she had a seizure reaction. I also feel like the tech shouldn't have been handling her while having a seizure or coming off of anthesia. Animals react differently to drugs & she was frightened & bit solely because of that. She is an indoor cat & doesn't have rabies. She was given capstar, rabies & anthesia for surgery. This is an overload IMO then I had to fight to get her released to me. My husband picked her up because we was closer & had just gotten off work around 430. We were not given any post procedure instructions which is absolutely unacceptable in case of emergency. This hospital had all great reviews. I was still worried because of how tiny my cat is that something could've went wrong & boy did it. Animal owners please use caution with any vet or animal hospital. I pray my cat doesn't suffer any long term side effects from this & that the seizure was a one time incident.
