Thanks for the wonderful care and diagnosis you gave Cooper's as your staff took steps to relieve his bladder blockage. The VEG Open concept allowed me to witness Cooper's procedure and comfort him during his recovery. A quiet and dimly lit recovery room was helpful for rest and recovery. Cooper's "spicy" demeanor due to his discomfort did not deter the dedicated staff from providing exceptional care. I give my appreciation to Nurses Heidi, Stephanie, Jamie & Anthony for tending to Cooper's needs. Dr. Gibson & Dr. Miletty diagnosed the cause for Cooper's health issue and set up a plan for recovery. The 24 hour monitoring puts your mind at ease and the seamless staff shift rotations demonstrates the teamwork at VEG. Don't think twice about the more expensive route for visiting this 24/7 clinic. In the long run, the attention to detail and round the clock attention are exactly what your fur baby deserves. Stephanie

My baby goat was born with a slight deformity in her back leg, and today I noticed an open wound in that exact area. I’m not sure what happened, but I immediately started calling vets to see who could take her in. Out of seven different clinics, only two answered and neither treated livestock. I was eventually referred to VEG ER by Midlothian ER, and I’m so grateful for that recommendation. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and my baby was evaluated and checked in right away. The open-concept layout was new to me, with exam tables out in the open where you can see the vets and assistants checking vitals and examining animals. I actually thought this was really cool and reassuring. I thought it was nice that they provided beds and blankets to keep our fur babies comfortable. They even asked if I wanted to help comfort my baby goat while she received her shot, which meant a lot to me and made the experience feel very personal and compassionate. Although we were there for quite a while, which was expected, they made sure to keep me updated throughout, which I truly appreciated. They apologized for the wait while we were waiting on X-rays, and overall everything went smoothly. I’m very thankful for the time, care, and kindness shown to both me and my baby. The Grand Prairie VEG location is definitely the place to take your pet for an emergency. I walked in hysterical with my dog and they jumped right into action and comforted me while doing so. Dr. Savanna Smith and Taylor were both fantastic. The cost of our visit was also very fair. Thank you guys for taking such great care of my Barkley today. Update: went back today because my dog was doing worse. The doctor we seen today was very pushy and rude when declining certain services . She made faces anytime the nurse went to talk to her . She seemed bothered by everything. The medical director did take the time to talk to me and explained a few reasons of why the service may have been that way, but obviously does not excuse it.

Dr. Smith, Dr. Miletty, and all of the veterinary assistants were so kind, helpful, patient, and transparent with my husband and I and they were very sweet, caring, and gentle with our cat, Pipperton. We had few symptoms and not much information about what was wrong with him when we brought him in, but they were quick to assist him and they did not diminish our concerns. He had a mysterious issue, but the doctors continued to research his case and they were very communicative about what procedures they were doing, what they believed his medical condition was, and what next steps could be. If only medical professionals for people were just as wonderful as the staff at this veterinary ER! We are so grateful to everyone who helped Pipperton while he was there and made his stay comfortable and safe! Thank you so much!

I can’t say enough great things about this animal hospital. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated both me and my dog with so much care, compassion, and professionalism. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable and well taken care of, taking the time to explain everything and answer all my questions without ever making me feel rushed. It’s clear that they genuinely love what they do and care deeply about the animals they treat. They didn’t just focus on the medical side—they made sure I felt supported and reassured throughout the entire experience as well. That kind of kindness and dedication means everything when you’re worried about your pet. I’m incredibly grateful for the level of care we received and would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone looking for a team that truly goes the extra mile.

This was my 3rd visit to VEG (all different pets). I will not go anywhere else, despite having used all of the 24hr Animal ERs in my area over the years. There is no comparison. This time my 3-month old kitten ventured too close to my dog and as she was escaping, he bit off the end of her tail, leaving the bone exposed. The awesome techs and doctors at VEG are so kind and very experienced. I was there about 3 hours, while my kitten was sedated, an IV put in, more anesthesia, then intubated. Then surgery to remove the part of her damaged tail and suture the tiny stump. I was able to watch the entire procedure (my choice). I know what you're thinking...how much? Their pricing is fair. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive. I keep a savings just for these emergencies, as I have many pets and you never know. I'm grateful to them. They really care.

Two very satisfied customers. Goose and Lily both had fun at their visit today . The staff is amazingly kind and caring. Prices are good, and the over all visit was timely and efficient. I recommend this vet to anyone in the local area .
