Golden Paws Animal Hospital

I thought I had already reviewed but realized I haven't yet! Golden Paws has been amazing! After having some issues with our previous vet, we went looking for a new one a couple years ago. After looking at many reviews, I decided to try Golden Paws. I am so thankful I did. My sweet Moose gets so nervous at the vet and they take such good care of him. I have not one negative thing to say. Every vet we have seen, technicians and staff are always so kind and welcoming. Even when my dog has a 💩 accident, ugh! I never feel rushed and I feel comfortable asking any questions I need. Finding a great vet is important and I couldn't be more happy with our experience here. Prices are also really reasonable!!! Especially with a goofy Great Dane that is a little extra when it comes to the vet! Thank you so much! 🐾🐾🐾

Just like physicians, there are vets that treat animals like they’re just another multi-legged critter with fur. And after an examination, you leave with more questions than answers and probably wonder if the vet missed his/her calling. Then there’s Golden Paws. From the minute you walk in the door, you know there’s something different about this clinic – and you’d be right. Not only are you met by the cheerful, knowledgeable office staff, but your wait time is minimal before being guided to an exam room. You and your pet are treated like you are members of a club – a Vet Tech and a Veterinarian have been assigned to your case, and they get to know your animal – intimately. Your animal is given professional, loving attention and warmth, and you know he/she is in good hands. I must give a personal shout-out to Dr. Colleen Mathews, who treated my ShiPoo like he was her own and provided him with fabulous care. Dr. Colleen is the REAL DEAL and you’ll soon become one of her fans – She’s got one here!

I visited Golden Paws for the first time this week, and will be permanently switching to them for my primary vet! I cannot say enough about them. My kitty was very sick, had visited the ER vet and wasn't getting better, so I took her to Golden Paws. Maggie was extremely kind and quick over the phone, getting us an appointment that day. And Dr. Ben was so incredible! He listened to everything going on, was very thorough and empathetic with all the information, and has checked in on my kitty twice since the appointment. She is healing and back to normal and I could not be more grateful!

Dr. Sam is such a caring, knowledgeable vet who runs a veterinary practice that really caters to pet families. His practice is open every Saturday for most of the day. They also can make home visits if that works best for the family. When a neighbor needed immediate attention for her dog, Murdoch, Dr. Sam made it his priority to go to her house and treat her dog. Unfortunately her dog had to be put down and Dr. Sam did it in the most compassionate way right at her home. He is very patient and kind. Also, and just as important, his staff are wonderful and also very warm and caring human beings. I recommend them highly. 🐶💜

Golden Paws is such a wonderful office! They are reliable, responsive to urgent appointment needs and have cared for my pups for 7 years. I am so grateful to have had them when my first dog was getting older and reaching the end of her life. They were so good with my first dog and now are the go-to office with my two new dogs. Really love the service and thoughtful recommendations that help me make the best choices for my furry family members.

After setting an appointment to have my kitten seen for an issue, I was never contacted about test results. When I followed up, no one reached back out, when someone finally said staff would reach out, they still didn't. I followed up again, staff said they needed a manager to do somethings in their system and they'd call me. Still no calls, still no help figuring out what's wrong with my kitten, after weeks of begging for a person to follow through, repeatedly asking for help, still no responses, no follow through. I dropped a fecal sample off 4/25/26, by 4/30/26 after repeated attempts to follow up on my part, still no call back, still no fecal test ordered, still no closer to a solution or some answers to an ongoing health problem. I've talked to at least 2 doctors and 4 other staff via email, phone AND in person whom have all told/promised me something that then did not happen. I don't understand why the entire staff is so unwilling to follow through and help this kitten. It's the weirdest experience I've ever had with a vet, and severely unprofessional. Close to home for convenience was absolutely the wrong choice here.

They do soft pallet surgeries on bull breeds with a laser! I called all around Denver to find a vet that would help my old English bulldog breathe better to extend his life. We have had many mutt and rescue bulldogs but this pup really needed his nose lasers out and his pallet shortened. One year later he is doing so much better! He is more active, doesn’t wear out on hikes as easily, and seems so much happier overall. They have also gotten us in with emergencies we have had and of course, the ever reoccurring ear infections. They also tell me my older blue bully is so sweet in the back… really? Because she is pure evil to her brother at home! She must like it back there!
