I took my big boy last night and the team was amazing. They were accommodating and respectful. From the front desk check in process, the purple doctor and the amazing nurse Shawna. Shawna let me stay and comfort my boy the whole time. She was nice and explained everything to me from the cost to the treatment thoroughly. She even sat next to me on the floor to answer my questions while I comforted my boy. It’s not a nice feeling being in the emergency room but our experience was positive. Thank you!
Beacon took care of my past 19 year-old cat during Covid and she was passing away, but they did a great job and comforting us while we let her pass on and gave us a copy of her paws.. Mia is a new rescue from shelter. after 14 yr Doxy poo passed away. Mia got excited with another dog by window blinds and probably hit her eye. She is doing great now. Beautiful eyes back to normal in 2 days. Dakota? I believe his name is. Sweet, caring and helpful. Appreciation of his updates and making us feel that we weren't forgotten. Keep us informed and put us in a more comfortable room to wait, I have been recovering myself from mild pneumonia and diabetes, I was tired but they helped us get comfortable for Mia. May is her 1 year adopted birthday month. I’m glad BEACON HELPED.
Dr. Fitch and his surgical team at Beacon are all amazing human beings. My dog Chance who is 9 years old injured his knee in November. 2 vet hospitals misdiagnosed his injury. One said it was his hip and the other said it was IVDD in his spine. Chance was having episodes of pain and not being able to put his leg down. It was heart breaking. So we went to see Dr. Fitch and he showed us right away that it was neither his hip or IVDD and that it was his knee. Dr. Fitch scheduled him for surgery later that week. He had TPLO and MPL surgery. We are 14 weeks into his recovery and he is walking as if he has a brand new leg. Chance is in physical Therapy to help gain muscle back but he is doing great. The whole process was scary but I’m so glad I put full trust into Dr. Fitch. He is board certified and truly is the best coming from my own personal experience. Thank you Beacon, Dr. Fitch, surgical team and the entire staff for giving Chance the opportunity to be able to live his best life doing his favorite things 🙏🏻🐶
I run a local rescue group in San Francisco, Bay Area and have brought many of my cases who needed major surgeries and special care to Dr. Fitch here at Beacon. It's always a pleasure to introduce him to my new cases. His team and the staff are all amazing.
Dr. Julie and her team were the best! They helped us through a very concerning situation with our recently adopted 2-months-old kitten, Cannoli. She thoroughly explained all the steps taken and the analyses results along the way. Lastly, her recommended treatment made Cannoli's bronchitis go away, and she's now back to being an active kitten.
Excellent care! Dr Huynh examined Riley and ordered tests based on her findings. Within minutes pancreatitis was confirmed and treatment started. Treatment required us to bring him back 24 and 48 hours later for additional medication infusions, but that was fine and he's recovering comfortably at home now. Dr Huynh was great. I didn't get the name of the vet tech who was with us and started Riley's IV and treatment, however she was also really good, reassuring our frightened Riley and explaining the treatment process to us. Both were very compassionate and Dr Huynh was very knowledgeable, quickly diagnosing his pancreatitis. Quick diagnosis and start of treatment, reassuring manner with Riley who is fearful at the vet. And fully disclosing the recommended treatment, benefits and cost (not cheap!) with us. Additionally, Beacon will direct bill our veterinary pet insurance, Trupanion. So we only pay them our portion of the cost. No submitting bills and waiting for reimbursement.
The care was excellent! Dr. Fitch is the surgeon for my dog, who dislocated his knee. Dr. Fitch was knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and patient. He explained things clearly and simply. He is someone I trust my dogs with. The office was clean, comfortable, and decorated with beautiful portraits of dogs and cats. I highly recommend Beacon Veterinary Specialists.
