We’ve been bringing all our fur babies 🐶🐰 to Battleground for the past 4 years. The doctors (Dr. Bob, Dr. Jim, Dr. Dawson) & staff have been wonderful! They are always kind & receive you & your pet warmly. They treat our pets with respect & love. They also take their time & explain or answer any questions. They keep the lobby & rooms quite clean. We appreciate all you’ll do!

We have been visiting Battleground for almost 13 years, and I cannot say enough positive things. 12 years ago, they met me as a first time parent of a rescue puppy to 12 years later, caring for that same puppy during senior years. Dr. Bob, Dr. Dawson and now Dr. Swayze have been so genuine and thorough when issues have arisen. Their knowledge and patience are beyond compare. The team around them is top notch. From techs to front of house, they are always professional, engaged and caring.

My dog ingested a poisonous plant while in Mexico. To guide me with the Mexico Vetrinarian I call Dr. Dawson who helped me for the next 5 days by reviewing lab results, images and overall condition of Siggy. I could not have made it through the week without the help and guidance of Dr. Dawson of Battleground Hospital for Animals. She made me feel comfortable with the plan of treatment in Mexico. Friday, I had Dr. Dawson lay eyes on Siggy to check after such a toxic experience. Thank you Dr. Dawson for taking the time to care not only for Siggy but for me too! Consistency in the excellent care of the animals. The techs are very good and Dr Dawson is great with the animals. She has taken care of our animals for a long time and had a few vets. She is good. Everyone we have seen is good. The front desk is also friendly and efficient. I love the app and ease of making appointment and getting food etc.

We boarded our healthy cat and dog here for 2 weeks.When we picked them up, our dog had an eye infection and our cat had an upper respiratory infection. We were told staff had not recognized that they were ill during their stay, so neither had received treatment before pickup. There is no telling how long they had been ill before I advocated for them. Our dog improved with antibiotics, but our cat’s condition worsened and she was euthanized 2 weeks later. Given that both of our previously healthy pets became sick while boarding, we have serious concerns about the facility’s hygiene and infection-control practices. We were deeply upset by this experience and no longer feel comfortable boarding our pets here. We were also disappointed with the lack of acknowledgement and empathy from the staff.

Best vet in Franklin/Brentwood area that we have found. They take their time with each pet and go above and beyond during the difficult times. We have seen Dr Bob since 1997 for all our dogs. Dr Swayze is amazing as well and I'm certain Dr Jim and staff are fantastic too. Can't say enough good things about this group.
