Highland took fantastic care of my fur baby for 15 years. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning and Dr. Josh can take care of ANY of my loved ones! He has the compassion of Job and let me take all the time I needed to say goodbye to my baby! Thank you Highland for caring so much for your patients and their families!

This past week with had to take our sweet 7 year old golden retriever in for a visit. She had a mass that was diagnosed as cancer. She was seen on Monday and surgery was scheduled for Friday. We dropped her off that morning. They let us know when she was prepped and going in. They called us to pick her up earlier than scheduled. She did great and she is healing so much faster than expected. She’s been checked on and the whole process was a stressless as possible for having a pet with a serious health issue. The Highland Team always does a great job and we are thankful that they take such great care of us!!

I can’t thank Highland Animal Hospital enough for the quick and compassionate care they gave my cat during an emergency. She needed an immediate C-section to safely deliver her only kitten, and the team acted without hesitation. From the very first call, I felt heard and taken seriously. Jeanette listened to me over the phone and made sure I got in right away. As soon as I walked in, Yvonne came to take me straight back, which meant so much in such a stressful moment. I also really appreciate the app they use—it made communication easy and helped me feel informed and prioritized every step of the way. The level of service was truly outstanding. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire process. I’ll never forget hearing from Brittin, who witnessed Beckie giving CPR to my cat’s kitten the moment it was delivered—her urgency and dedication were truly incredible. Their communication and professionalism made a very overwhelming situation much easier to handle. I’m beyond grateful for the care they provided. Brittin and Katarine also took the time to break down the steps for at-home care, making sure I felt confident taking my cat home. I would highly recommend Highland Animal Hospital to anyone needing urgent or routine veterinary care.

We have used Highland Animal's services for over 15 years and we won't go anywhere else. They offer top notch services at a reasonable price. The staff is very educated, professional and empathetic. From the front desk staff (especially Robin, Camille, Jen and Laci) to the technicians like Christi, Karla, and Elizabeth to the doctors (specifically Kelly Totten and Japheth Barkman), we appreciate them all. Although it takes awhile to be seen, they are so worth the wait. From nail trimmings to surgeries and everything in between, we completely trust the staff with the care of our fur babies. We are especially thankful for the care and services of Dr. Kelly Totten. She is an amazing veterinarian and a truly beautiful person. She is very knowledgeable, extremely kind and exceptionally skilled in her profession. She has shared everything from the joy of new additions to the loss of loved ones with us. She is an excellent surgeon with impeccable bedside manners. She is the primary reason we come to Highland Animal Hospital. Many thanks to all of you for the hard work and true dedication you have shown while caring for our babies.

This place is great. My dog's been a patient since 2020 & I've only had one issue. One of the vet assistants kept making comments of my dog whining while she was getting info for the doc. Things like, ooh if she were my dog.. she couldn't be my dog cuz I would.. I bit my tongue because I know me & my attitude & I choose non-violence that day. Even in 2020 as a brand new patient with longer wait times, it's been good. Compared to another clinic I was going to with previous dogs, the prices are reasonable. Recently brought one dog in who needed an exam, a pill in office, & the monthly flea/tick pill plus another for the bigger dog & it was about 150. The flea/tick pills is what jacked up the price, but they NEEDED it. I love that I can call about whatever she needs & get an estimate. For ex, the baseline cost of an exam, the pricing for what meds she'll need & adjusting the qty of her allergy meds to fit my budget. Aside form that one incident, the staff has always been pleasant & thorough.

We have been members of Highland for almost 20 years. We trust this staff with the treatment and well-being of our family members. The service, staff, and veterinarians are fantastic and easy to work with. We have shared happy and sad times together and they have always been there to help us make the right treatment decisions.

What a wonderful staff. From the clerks on the front to the tech and doctors in the back. My family has been with this teams for over 30 years. We would never change our vet care team. If you love your fur babies this team I promise will love them and care for them as they are own. What this amazing family (the barkman’s) have created for us. I could never be more thankful for what they have done for my family and this community.
