Highly Recommended. We drive from Fort Washington to get our two dogs and three cats seen by Dr. Michelle Lapera. She is the best vet we have ever had in over 25 years in different states and in Germany (retired military). If she left, we would follow her. Also, all the vet techs are the most wonderful young people. They know our pets and have always treated them with the utmost care. We have never once felt uneasy or concerned. Quite the opposite! They all make us feel that our pets are in the best hands. Lastly, the front staff has always been polite, receptive, and knowledgeable about any issue or question we had. Any time we need an appointment or to reschedule one, they each have been very patient and helped us find the optimal time for our work schedules to bring our pets in. I am quite shocked by the negative reviews. Seriously. I read through all of them and felt like each were responding to one of the following things: bad news, cost, or lack of understanding of their pets' needs. You be the judge. Highly recommended!

I was scheduled for an ultrasound for my cat. Two days before the appointment i was called for a confirmation of moving it a day earlier. I said no i cannot make that that is why i made it the day it was. The desk person said he would have to reschedule since my original date was no longer available and would call me back. A couple of days later i learned that he did move it anyway and hit me with a noshow for over $200. He claimed he was the manager and to deal with it so i canceled my plan and will never go back to any Banfield

They are heartless and never answer the phones. My dog had to be put down and it took them 2 days to call me back. They will not cancel my contract even though my dog passed. When I called corporate I was coldly told I should read the contract. I will have to have a painful reminder every month of my beloved dog passing. Screw this corporate pet care. They are really run by lawyers and accountants. They added to my pain and I will never forgive them.

Last year my cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. We noticed he was getting worse with the medication they had prescribed and took him in for a follow up to see if the meds were actually helping at all and if we could consider switching his treatment plan to something else. All I got was a refill with no answers or alternative choices. Our beloved cat ended up living only a few more months with no help from banfield as we could not afford to take him in again just to get brushed off. Always feels like they don’t actually care about your pets and just want to bill you.

Don’t go to this banfield. They are NOT all the same!!!! This banfield has decided to keep running like a McDonald’s, pushing pets into "storage" and not offering regular visits post covid (if they do, it’s barely any appointments). They clearly want to make as much money as they can by continuing this practice despite the covid restrictions being over. Don’t let them convince you this is normal. IT IS NOT. Other banfields do not operate this way and it does not lead to a good level of care. You can’t even see what they’re doing to your pet, I have had certain things not performed due to lack of communication from the front to the back. My pet was injured during a drop off appointment in the past, please don’t convince yourself it’ll be like any other banfield and be okay. This place truly doesn’t seem to care about treating animals, just profit and getting as many animals seen as possible.

Just don’t go here. Miss Josie is the most incompetent person I’ve ever met. Her messy, disheveled appearance and lack of professionalism set the tone for the entire experience. If you call, be prepared to sit on hold for 30-plus minutes, only to finally walk in and see the staff drinking coffee and eating chia seeds at the counter like they have nothing else to do. Honestly, it’s a complete waste of time. They expect you to leave your dog for hours as a "drop-off," instead of taking a few minutes to actually communicate with the owner about what’s going on. A pet can’t speak for themselves, so how is that supposed to work? It makes zero sense. On top of that, even if you schedule an appointment, they don’t honor it. The whole process feels disorganized, careless, and inconsiderate of both owners and their pets. If I could give this place zero or even negative stars, I absolutely would.

I had a great experience at this Banfield location. I was able to book a same-day appointment for my cat who has bad anxiety, and the whole process was super smooth. Dr. Miller was amazing. He was really kind, easy to talk to, and took the time to come out of the exam room to explain ways I could help my cat feel more comfortable at home. He was thoughtful and did not rush the visit, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff was also very nice and chill. I wish I got the name of the person who helped me because they made the check-in process really easy and welcoming. Even though this location is a bit out of the way for me, I would definitely come back to have Dr. Miller care for my cat again.
