I cannot say enough wonderful things about Wales Veterinary Practice. When my sister's dog was experiencing a true emergency, three other veterinary offices, including emergency facilities, turned us away. Wales did not hesitate for a second to help. From our very first phone call with Pam, who is absolutely incredible, to the veterinarian and every technician we encountered, we were treated with compassion, kindness, and genuine care. My sister was faced with one of the most difficult decisions any pet parent could ever make. The entire staff stood beside us through every step of that heartbreaking process. They never rushed us, answered every question with patience, and provided comfort and support at a pace that felt right for our family. In a moment when we felt helpless and overwhelmed, they showed us what true compassion looks like. Every person in that office is not only a skilled professional but a genuinely wonderful human being. We will never forget the kindness they showed us during one of the hardest days of our lives. I highly recommend Wales Veterinary Office to anyone and everyone looking for a veterinary team that truly cares about both pets and the people who love them. Dr Hixby and the entire where very kind compassionate and caring for Elliot. We ended up having to put Elliot to sleep. They were awesome in their care and compassion in taking care of him. They truly are caring in the way they take care of all animals. Thank you!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this vet practice. The entire staff showed incredible kindness, compassion, and patience during one of the hardest moments of my life. They treated my dog with dignity and love, and they treated me with genuine empathy and understanding. Dr. Songer was truly wonderful—gentle, knowledgeable, and never rushed us. She explained everything clearly and gave us the time and space we needed, which meant more than I can put into words. It was obvious how much they truly care about their patients and the families who love them. While losing my girl was heartbreaking, I am deeply grateful that it happened in such a calm, respectful, and caring environment. I will always be thankful to this team for making such a painful goodbye just a little more bearable and helping us with what they could financially. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for compassionate, exceptional veterinary care, and will be donating to their angel fund to help others that need financially help.

My loving cat Mr. Bentley, who I rescued from the streets in 2013, took a sudden turn for the worse. It's hard for me to write this as it reopens his loss but it needs said. In the early morning hours I knew it was time for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I called my vet- explained we needed an appt. I was told Thursday-4 days away???!!! No way Mr. B was not going to suffer-couldn't wait. Called Wales & the kind caring staff got me on that day early afternoon. Even called me back & got in earlier! Each human there was compassionate, kind, caring, gentle & helped Mr. Bentley & I through this heartbreaking last goodbye. Thank you. I'm sorry I was too upset to remember any names-though I feel this first visit with these professionals was a true example of the entire vet team. I highly recommend this Veterinary Team. Run, chase, play & meet up with your cat sisters, brothers & doggie sisters, brother & human aunts & uncles. Miss you so much my sweet boy 🐾.

Incredible staff, great price, fast service. Great price on exotics. We went in as an emergency, they were able to fit us in within 20 minutes of our call. The staff is a joy to interact with. They were thorough, and attentive to our animal's needs. Highly recommend.

He’s been taking care of all my animals — dogs, cats, and horses for over 10 years now — and I’ve always been impressed by his knowledge, patience, and sincere love for animals. He never rushes appointments and always takes the time to explain everything clearly, which really puts me at ease. Dr. Wales consistently goes above and beyond, especially when it comes to emergencies — he’s always willing to help, even on short notice, and I know I can count on him when something unexpected happens. He also has such a big heart for animals in need and often helps find loving homes for those who don’t have one yet. That kind of dedication is truly special. The vet techs are just as wonderful — friendly, gentle, and so good at making my animals feel relaxed (even the horses!). You can tell they genuinely care about every patient. It’s such a relief knowing my animals are in such good hands. I’m so grateful for Dr. Wales and his team — they’re the best! Highly recommend!

We love going to Wales! The staff is very friendly, attentive & loving to my babies. They are always willing to work with me as an owner in what is the easiest and most comfortable for my girls, as they can be a little nervous, especially at the vet! They are always willing to get us an appointment as soon as possible and are flexible with my schedule. Can’t recommend them enough! Thank you to the staff for always making it a tolerable and enjoyable experience for Nippy, Girl and I.
