Positive experience. Our dog has an ear infection & a hot spot & he became very agitated fast on a Sunday. They got us in immediately and it was a pleasant experience. They fixed him up, got him Meds & we were on our way. We tried 2 other places first and neither had the ability to see him promptly like The Drake Center. They were well staffed on a Sunday & we appreciate the attentiveness, love & care & service. We will use them going forward as we just adopted.

Dr DOWD is an amazing veterinarian. I moved here almost 3 years ago from New York with two dogs and one of them has epilepsy. The hardest person to leave in New York was my Vet and their team as they became close friends. The Drake Center was recommended by my realtor and shortly after I moved here and became a client. I met Dr Dowd and I knew that I had found not only an amazing vet, but someone who feels more like a friend. She is straightforward, no nonsense and doesn’t sugarcoat anything… Just the way I like it! The receptionist, the pharmacy, and all of the staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. I could not be happier with the care my pups get!!

Drake is amazing but in particular Dr Leslie! She is so kind and patient. She always knows what to do to make Penny feel better and no question is ever a silly one to her! We know our pets are in such good hands with her! We just love her so much! Thanks Dr Leslie!

I’ve been going to Drake for more years than I can count and have never been disappointed with any of the vets. Love they are open 7 days/week. Everyone is always very attentive and compassionate. I have two dogs and two cats and would not bring them anywhere else

We absolutely love Dr. Dilworth and the entire team! She is incredibly patient, gentle, and thorough with every visit. It’s clear she truly cares about both the pets and their owners—she takes time to explain everything, never rushes, and makes our dog feel calm and cared for unlike any other vet we’ve been to. We always leave feeling confident we’re in the best hands possible. She takes precaution and a step by step approach when dealing with more complicated health issues. Highly recommend Dr. Dilworth and The Drake Center to anyone looking for a vet who goes above and beyond!

Stephanie McMillen 1/24/25 It has been difficult to find a vet that our two dogs like since both of our girls are rescues with scary, abusive histories. The Drake Center for Vet Care in Encinitas was a hit! I don't know whether they responded to the comforting demeanor of the staff, or the liver treats, but they responded positively to everything at the Drake Center! The prices seemed more than reasonable, and it is such a relief to now have a vet I can take the girls to without dread. They even trimmed Graciela's nails without drugs or restraints. Thank you, everyone!

We’ve been bringing our dog, Todd, to Drakes for four years. Very pleased with each and every doctor, nurse and technician we’ve met, including Dr. Dowd, who we saw today. They are all clearly very experienced and tremendously competent. Highly recommend!
