Dr. Andrew Beckman and his student were professional, caring, and compassionate. We left Harley, our very nervous dog, in their care for a TPLO surgery and they called us to check in regularly and I feel that they did their best to make him as comfortable as they could during his stay. The faculty is clean, easy to access, and has two large waiting rooms, the of which has a sandwich vending machine, coffee machine, and regular snack machine. There are ports everywhere for charging devices as well. Everyone was kind, the check in/out process was streamlined as well. Customer portal allows us to ask questions when needed. So glad we were able to get Harley in here. Thank you!
Our Leo got into my rock tumbler as I was preparing to rinse it out. My vet suggested i take him to UC Davis emergency to have him looked at, as they were closing. Turns out it was Non toxic. Thank goodness. They have a great team there. Thank you UC Davis
I'm incredibly grateful to the team at the UC Davis Small Animal Clinic for the care they have provided to my dog Louie. Special shoutout to Dr. Culp and Dr. Reynolds, as well as all of the technicians who helped care for him while he was admitted recently. The team here works incredibly hard and deserve recognition for the expertise, kindness, and attention to detail they provide.
Bring your pet here, it's world class care. Thank you UC Davis Veterinary Hospital for helping my run over cat. I brought him to you complete with tire marks, and your students and professors put him back together for us. You saved a member of our family. The professionalism and communication with us was exceptional. A UC Davis educated veterinarian is the gold standard. Bring your pet here, it costs less, and you get superior care. Highly recommend 🐈
My french mastiff got aspirated pneumonia he was carried in on monday an walkd out on sat thank you for saving his life all the vets an staff in the icu are awsome
Small Animal Clinic My kittens received loving care. The students did seem comfortable and capable of giving vaccinations. A professional vet/professor always comes in to check as well. There is a separate waiting room for felines.
My dog had TPLO and a number of complications. We got him into PT at another facility in Penryn that we had great progress at, but unfortunately had to find a new facility when we moved out this way. Initially my experience with UC Davis Veterinary Rehab was fine, the assessment took a while because it's a teaching facility but they were all pleasant and the doctor that came in at the end to review the plan the students put together was as well. I did think it was weird that they didn't want owners in the evaluation or PT sessions as I'd always been a part of Goose's PT at the other facility. Goose had his first PT session and seemed ok coming out of it, but then the following week at his chiropractor appointment he was fearful of being touched, kept bucking and getting wide eyed at any attempts to even touch him at the appointment. This was with his established chiropractor, he's never been fearful on any of his many many treatments and has actually always been excited for all of his appointments and interactions with his caregivers. I contacted UC Davis and asked what happened at his PT appointment since this was a big change for him, and asked that I be able to sit in on his next session. I was informed it was their policy to not allow owners in, and if I just wanted to cancel all of his upcoming appointments that was fine. I stressed that Goose needs the PT and I'd like him to continue, but I want to sit in to make sure how he's being handled is appropriate because he never has been fearful and shouldn't be. A supervisor was contacted supposedly and I received a call back confirming that they would not be allowing me to attend his session and I could cancel his upcoming ones. While I can't speak directly to what happened during that session, I know my dog and I know the changes in behavior did not come out of no where. Fear does not come out of no where. This is a dog who for his entire 7 years has let anyone touch him, assess him, manipulate painful areas of his body post injury without one. single. amount. of. fear. I would strongly caution anyone from taking their dog here.
