My sweet 18 year old Bogie Boy was called to Rainbow Bridge. Everyone was so respectful and understanding my pain. They gave us privacy for our last goodbye and were so patient and consoling. I stayed to the very end. He went peacefully, then I was allowed more time to grieve. This was the most difficult time in my life, but their sensitivity helped me thru. Today I received his ashes in a beautiful urn, his sweet little footprint, a certificate of his cremation, a beautiful plaque of his name, and a piece of his hair. When Bogie was alive, he had also been boarded there while on vacation. I recommend this place if you love your baby as I did mine. I will be forever grateful for their sincerity and kindness. I had a really disappointing experience with CityVet. My dog was very sick, so I called around 5 PM (they close at 7) to ask if they accepted walk-ins. The person on the phone told me to come right away since the vet would be leaving at 6 PM and they could squeeze me in. Unfortunately, there are two CityVet locations on Preston, and the representative gave me the address to the wrong one. I even read the address back to confirm, and they said it was correct. I rushed over and arrived around 5:30 PM, only to find out that this location doesn’t offer urgent care services. Then I got a call from the actual urgent care location asking if I was still coming. This is when I realized I was at the wrong location. When I looked up the correct address, it was another 25 minutes away. I was annoyed but willing to make the drive however they ended up telling me the vet wouldn’t be able to see my dog by the time I get there since they were leaving soon. I kindly asked if there was any way they could make an exception and accommodate since the error was on their end, but I was told my only option was to reschedule. For a place that promotes care and compassion for pets, the lack of accountability and flexibility was really disappointing. I won’t be returning and, unfortunately, can’t recommend CityVet after this experience.

I really like Dr. Lufkin taking care of my cat she has always made her self available for when I needed to bring my cat in especially these last 9 weeks while we have been struggling to get my cat to recover. Only 4 stars because I think City Vet in general is a bit pricey and haven’t had great experience with some of the other staff.

Dr. Jennifer Nguyen is great. Listens through the perspective of an owner and not just a professional in her field so her explanations are simplified and thorough. She understood my concerns and reassured me about my senior dog’s care. Called and got same day appointment for my dog’s annual visit. Convenient! It was costly, but will pay for quality and convenience.

My sweet boy had his final moments here. The whole staff was more than accommodating. I requested some things that might have been outside of their normal final requests and a wonderful young man went completely out of his way to find ink for a nose print that I sincerely wanted, and perhaps, needed. I can't say enough about the team here. The vet was kind, explained the process, and gave us our time. Thank you the team, I would recommend their services 100%

Dr. Lufkin and her team are phenomenal. She was with us when we had to put down our sweet dog last summer and was incredibly compassionate. She has also seen our two new puppies we brought into our family over the last 2 years. Her partner Dr. Arroyo was also wonderful when out dog had to have emergency surgery earlier this year. I could not recommend this team enough.

Zero stars! Worst experience I have ever had. Our dog passed away and I wanted to return the extra prescription food we purchased from City Vet. We would purchase from this location as well as the Preston Hollow location. I was instructed the food was purchased at the Preston Hollow location so they couldn’t accept the return. Even though we definitely purchased that food at Preston Forest multiple times as well. It was the only food the dog ate for the last few months of her life. I will never go back and their employees need some sensitivity training - the employee just kept talking louder and yelling that I would have to go to Preston Hollow.
