Modern Animal Costa Mesa

Love love love Modern Animal. The staff is always so friendly and supportive. The doctors have been so informative and gentle in their approach with us. I’ve been with Modern Animal for a few years now and I have been enjoying my cat’s care. I definitely think that the membership has been worth it because of the ability to communicate with doctors throughout the week if we have any concerns or questions about my cat’s health. Plus the inclusion of the vet visit fee definitely has been nice. My cat, Pinoch, is quite timid and the staff have been super patient with her; they provide churu and towels for her to hide in to help her feel safer. The doctors are very attentive and are currently helping us make informed decisions for our Pinoch’s health. I’m so grateful that doctors like Dr. Lee in Costa Mesa shows us genuine care during this uncertain time. I feel that Pinoch is cared for and given the attention she needs to address her physical and emotional health concerns. The staff have been in communication with us throughout her procedure too ! Super sweet! Also the coffee is a nice touch !💖

The way I was greeted as soon as I walked in with my dog was a very warm welcome by Sunshine. She was very informative on what to expect and what the next steps were in our visit. We just moved to California and are still finding our way here but Sunshine’s guidance really made us feel right at home. Dr. Lassler came in with a very calm demeanor and an inviting presence. My dog who is usually shy gravitated towards her. Dr. Lasser answered all my questions and I was very happy with the way the first visit went. I look forward to continuing me and my dogs relationship with Modern Animal. I’m very happy I found them.

Poppy had THE best time this morning!! We adopted her from Walks and Wags yesterday and this morning she had her first Well Dog Appt with Dr Lassler and team at the Costa Mesa Modern Animal location. Poppy had THE VERY best time!! She loved everybody and everything!! She especially loved all the cuddles and loves and the treats were definitely a very big hit too. She even enjoyed her "mani"!! She happily had her vaccines and bloodwork too. The Kong Cheese lick mat was a definite winner!! One VERY happy and VERY lucky little girl! Thank you SO much Dr Lassler and all at Modern Animal!! You are simply THE BEST!!!

The drs and staff at modern animal Costa Mesa have been so compassionate and loving towards my boy Oliver as he deals with chf. I feel they truly care for him as much as i do and really what more could you ask for in a vet. Truly grateful to them and Oliver could not be in better hands for his final stage. I highly recommend this office and modern animal.

So happy I found a clinic so close to home where I felt so heard. Having my dog reach her senior years has brought on a handful of health changes and I’ve been at a loss with what to do. Dr. Lassler took the time to listen to everything, even sat on the floor with my dog and gave her some extra treats & love. I felt very guided with our next steps. The nursing staff were also great. Loved that I got to stay with my dog for the entirety of the visit too.

We had such an incredible experience at Modern Animal with Dr. Lassler. From the moment we walked in, the energy was so positive and welcoming—it immediately put both us and our pup at ease. We made an appointment after noticing a pigmented spot on our pup’s third eyelid, and Dr. Lassler was thorough, attentive, and genuinely invested in understanding what was going on. One thing that really stood out was how she immediately unhooked the leash so he could greet her freely and explore the exam room, while also allowing her to get a good look at his eyes without him feeling restrained or forced—it made such a difference in his comfort level. Dr. Lassler was incredibly patient, kind, and asked thoughtful, relevant questions. At no point did the appointment feel rushed. In fact, she checked in multiple times (at least four!) to make sure we didn’t have any unanswered questions. That level of attentiveness is rare and so appreciated. After the visit, we received a detailed follow-up through the app with all the pertinent information we discussed. We have never walked out of a vet appointment feeling as confident, informed, and positive as we did after seeing Dr. Lassler. Dr. Lassler came highly recommended to us, and now we absolutely understand why. We left feeling completely reassured and in the best possible hands.

This place is AMAZING! I now have both of my dogs in Dr. Lassler's care. One is an extremely fearful new rescue & one is a PWD with a spinal injury. When I tell you, she's incredible, she's just incredible! She was absolutely determined to connect with my my poor fearful rescue, and she did it! She's just the sweetest. Also, she is so very professional & knowledgeable you feel completely confident in her care. She diagnosed my PWD right away and provided the absolute best care possible. I can't say enough about her vet tech Casey who has the same sweet bedside manner as Dr. Lasser! She supported us through the whole ordeal, helped us understand procedures before they were completed, and gave us instructions for when we went home that were easy to follow. And to top it all off, just having access to someone with questions or concerns on the app and getting a response so quickly, is like no other service you'll find anywhere else. So highly recommended!
