South Texas Veterinary Urgent Care, PLLC

I don’t have enough words to say about this place. 1) the receptionist are sweethearts 2) the Vet Techs are amazing 3) the Vet- Dr. Fields set with me and LISTENED to me and not only that. She explained in laymen terms what was happening and why. Never had a vet like her. The vet tech was SO NURTURING to my dog. At one point, I was worried my dog would want to go home with her. 💗. After MONTHS of trying to figure out what was wrong with my dog. One look at her and Dr. Fields told me what she thought it was and she told me why. Sure enough it is. She explained in detail everything about it and her care from here on out. I’ve never met a bad vet but I will say this- I’ve never met a vet like Dr. Fields and staff like the people at South Texas. I moved my dog there from here on out, my cats are being moved there and my son’s four cats and dog are going to be moved there. I can type forever about this place and what they did for my dog and how kind and loving they were. This clinic is special, VERY special. Nothing against any other clinics - this place just has something special. I will forever use them and be in debt to them for what they did for my Azzie. My Azzie is going to get better now and have a great life. Thanks to a place that listened and genuinely CARED.

I wanted to thank all of the staff for the care, compassion, and kindness shown during Cassie's end-of-life journey. Even though Cassie was not a regular patient at South Texas Veterinary Urgent Care, the team treated my wife, Cassie, and me as if we were family. Their professionalism, empathy, and support during such a difficult time meant more to us than words can express. We are truly grateful for the comfort and dignity they provided. Again, thank you all for your exceptional care and compassion.

Took my little pup in for an abscess emergency. They diagnosed him and started treating right away with little, to no wait time. So thankful to the entire team, from front desk to the staff in the back! He's on the road to recovery, definitely going to recommend this place! Will definitely be a returning customer in the event of another pup-mergency! Very reasonable fee's as well!

Dr Andre is one of the best veterinarian I have had. She was really patient with me once I was told my senior dog is very sick. She took her time to explain everything even though I was not being myself having hard time to accept the situation. She respect our decision and took good care of my baby. All the staffs are great too, very caring, kind and compassionate. I would recommend them for great care for your baby.

The staff and specially the doctor are outstanding. Caring, compassionate and professional. We have been blessed to have them care for our pet throughout her illness and final moments. You won’t find a better place to care for your pets.

I had to bring my dog here July 21,2025 cause my vet couldn’t see him until that very next day. My dog was in pain and suffering so I had to make the most heartbreaking decision of putting my baby down after having him 16 amazing years. The staff was so sweet and just were so compassionate during the whole process of putting my baby to sleep. They were just so thoughtful and so kind. I got him cremated. The place he got cremated at couldn’t pick him up till that following Thursday and I got him back a week later. They took very good care of him in his final moments and even after he was already gone. I recommend coming here for your babies needs❤️I had one last picture of my baby while he was sedated. He is no longer in pain💔R.I.P. my sweet bubba, mommy misses you🥺😭

I found a tiny kitten who has special needs. STVUC was absolutely up to the task of helping this tiny little angel. Dr. Andre was so thorough, very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, the wait time wasn't long, all the assistants were genuine and had so much love to give little Trooper, as I ended up naming him. The prices were definitely within reason, I was very much satisfied!!!
