Animal Hospital of Padre Island

This place is absolutely awesome. They have definitely gotten a lot better overtime customer service and definitely their rates before I wouldn’t step foot in their door due to unreasonable rates in my opinion, but that was a long time ago!! Lots of things have changed since then!!! I’m just so please with the customer service the flexibility and the rates now!!! I brought Winston in because he had a very bad eye problem. His eyes ran all the time I’m constantly having to clean his face and of course, some other health concerns so they gave him medication flea medication and medication for his eyes and I’m not even kidding. this cat is a whole different cat now he’s so happy he’s very comfortable. He’s confident I don’t have to clean his eyes every single day now and I just could not be happier with these people. I honestly I’m just thrilled and so is Winston.!!! whoever answered the phone clearly was not in a great mood today - i was attempting to get information about getting my pet established with the clinic but given my first encounter with the receptionist, i’d HAPPILY take my business elsewhere. also attempted to get the receptionists name to possibly get help from a supervisor or somone who would like to help but she declined to answer and remained silent instead - there’s your tell all about this clinic right there. if that’s how the staff would act over the phone, imagine how they’d treat your pet behind closed doors.

We have used this clinic for many years and always been happy with the vets. Most recently Dr. Howe and Dr. Galvan. Right now Dr. Howe is working with our dog, Joop who has extreme anxiety issues. She has been very compassionate and thorough, trying different remedies to give him some relief. We are grateful for this caring attitude.

I have been bringing my three muttsketeers here for years! Dahlia, Dobby, and Klaus have never been more loved, served, or remembered by any other team. It’s amazing to have a little haven of peace on our slice of heaven here on NPI. My pupperonis aren’t the easiest nor are they the most well-behaved, but this team always greets them with smiles and wide-open arms of love. I know my fur kids are safe and monitored closely with care whenever they stay over in boarding. I truly admire the veterinary staff here, and this will always be my first-choice for as long as they continue to serve our island community.

Took my 177lb Great Dane to get his teeth cleaned. While under sedation, the Doctor was kind enough to call and recommend other procedures that we could get out the way while under. Great suggestions and great service. The whole team was awesome today and strong 💪. And to top it off, the pricing was on point. We've been taking our dogs here for over 4 years and we see good improvements going on here. Thanks Everyone at AHPI. "FAT MIKE" 🐕 is a lot better now. And his teeth are pearly white. 😇🙌🤙

The doctor and staff were excellent with our 11yr old husky. Very convenient and I appreciated the doctor providing clear options with a concern for my budget. The vet tech was especially sweet to allow my young inspiring kids to use the stethoscope to hear our dog’s heart. Highly recommend supporting this Island business.

I love this vet so much. The staff are always wonderful, I never have to wait for my appointments, and they are always so friendly to my pets. On top of that, the prices are down to a 1/3 of what surrounding vets charge. Dr. Howe is amazing, I recommend this vet to everyone I know
