Dr Swainson and the staff here are amazing. they took such great care of our foster dog Dante who needed TPLO surgery. we highly recommend Colorado canine orthopedics. they made the process easy informative and follow-up has been fantastic. these guys truly care. thank you for taking such great care Dante!❤️
Everyone is so kind, the front desk, the assistants and the doctors! Dr. Dent has a very calming presence which I deeply appreciate as we navigate my dogs needs and his surgery. I’ve taken my dog Scooby there for both his hind leg TPLO surgeries and they’ve done an incredible job with him. He’s a nervous dog and they have special protocols which I appreciate. They take the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I also love that Dr. Dent calls to follow up after, it really shows how much they care!
My dog had TPLO surgery here in December. Dr. Iodence and the whole team there are top notch! The facilities are clean and consult rooms are very dog friendly (a mat, toys, doggy videos playing on-screen). The distractions helped my dog feel a little less anxious than she does at vet visits 🙂 Dr. Iodence was informative about what to expect with the surgery and recovery, and the discharge instructions were very thorough. My dog just had her 8-week follow up exam and X-rays and has healed up perfectly! Thank you to CCOR for taking such good care of my fur baby and getting her back to living her best life!
We were referred to them by the VCA Briargate facility, to help evaluate out dogs knee issue. Everyone was very nice, and helpful. We very much appreciate being given options for our dogs treatment and signs of things to look for as he gets older instead of trying to push for a surgery.
We Love Dr Detora! Dixie is 11 years old. Suffered from two partial ACL tears on both knees for a few years. I just didn’t feel comfortable with other surgeons during consultations. Dr Detora did a telemed session to hear me out and understand her history then saw her in person. He’s just so precise. He could feel the knees weren’t fully torn. He did an arthoscopy and gave me pictures which I appreciated. I don’t like the idea of anyone performing surgery on Dixie without knowing what’s going on under the surface. He did the TPLO surgery so quickly which again very appreciated because it was less time under anesthesia. Dixie fully recovered in one week after surgery and started rehab sessions ten days after being released. He saved her life. She couldn’t even get up from lying down by the time we found CCO. Now Dixie can live a fuller and longer life!!
Anytime your pet needs serious medical attention it can be very stressful. Everyone was very caring and helpful every step of the way from May at the front desk to our surgeon Dr. DeTora. Dr. DeTora clearly explained the nature of our dogs injury and what he would be doing to correct it. After the surgery May carefully explained all we would need to do during the recovery process. From our initial contact with the hospital we felt our dog Reesie was in excellent hands enabling us to be confident in the outcome.
This was a recommendation from Dr Sunderman at Briargate VCA, Colorado Springs, and we were very satisfied with the examination and information Dr DeTora provided for our dog, Sasha. He took the time to thoroughly and patiently walk us through Sasha’s diagnosis, prognosis and various options. We didn’t feel rushed through the process as is often the case with heavily booked medical centers. Also, both the consultation itself and the estimates for surgery were within reason and without pressure. We left the center armed with all the necessary information required to make an informed decision about Sasha’s future treatment.
