San Juan Veterinary Hospital

So far, I've had good experiences with 2 shelter dogs. The last one I got had skin issues, which are finally getting better, but the Dr's and staff are friendly and helpful. I ran out of a prescription Saturday, and going into a Sunday, they are closed. I called 10 min before close, and they stayed open for another 30 minutes so I could pick up. I didn't have to miss 2 days of pills. The prices are reasonable for California and the area vets. I'd say a little less than the going rate. The Dr's take their time with our dogs. I've never felt rushed. Only complaint is that the exam areas only have a 1 seat built in bench. Would be nice to have another seat in there when you have more than one person with you.

Before Covid I consistently used SJ.Vets. My animal history goes back 20yrs. Following changes in ownership an urgency was required for my dog. Eileen couldn't get me in for a week. Then I started mobile services and am delighted with the intimacy and love given with quick scheduling. Then I get email from SJV saying gee we haven't seen you in awhile. No duh! Will never return as the staff is the gatekeepers. I guess its important that they eat lunch or go home on time. Rudeness overload.

Needed to get a Cat checked out, our oldest one. We recently lost a Cat and so we were down to just 2, mine and my wife's. My wife's is the old one and she just turned 10. I had another vet do some basic stuff recently but it cost a small fortune. Specifically, more than my wife and I are able to spend comfortably when its something that can't be planned in advance. So I asked around and heard this place, San Juan Veterinary Hospital being recommended more than a few times and decided to bring my cat here. Im very happy I did! Got an exam and bloodwork done for what I expected the work to cost, which is saying something because other places asked me to pay almost twice as much. The staff was very friendly, lots of happy animals in around in the common areas, and the doctor was great too. Ill be bringing my animals here from now on.

My dog has been a patient at San Juan Veterinary Hospital for about 2 years. The staff is always attentive and helpful with her. The Doctor always shares advice and treatment in a way I understand. I feel like they're areas the Doctor could upsell me services but doesn't. My bills are considerably less than the last couple of vets My dog has been to. I highly recommend them. In my opinion they are animal lovers first and a business second. I challenge you to call them for an estimate on service or just make an appointment for your loved one. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I've been taking all my Whippets there for years, San Juan Vet really truly cares about all the animals that come thru their door. The doctors are wonderful and so are the assistants'. Carol is a staple to the facility and goes above and beyond to help the pets we love.

Experienced and courteous staff. Recently needed care for our Penny an 8lb dog was bitten by a much larger dog. San Juan fitted us into their busy schedule. Healing nicely.

Staff are helpful and friendly and the veterinarian is outstanding. Takes times with the animals take time with their parents.
