We were referred to AEI for our dog Tanner. He is diabetic and had cataracts. He had cataract surgery in May 2025. The whole experience, from initial consultation, surgery, and follow up appointments have exceeded my expectations. The whole staff is awesome. Dr Lembo is the best. We can't thank her enough for giving Tanner his sight back. Below are before and after photos.

Always professional. Always courteous. Always helpful. And it is very obvious that they care about their patients. They have been a huge help to my senior Boston terrier.

My dog and I were both extremely satisfied with the care received here. Every staff member was over-the-top helpful, friendly, and easy to talk to. The Doctors were very helpful and explained everything so that I could understand. I feel very confident in bringing my boy back and would definitely recommend to others.

We were referred to The Animal Eye Institute of Cincinnati because our dog had a persistent red eye that would not go away even with ointment. Everyone was great! Dawn scheduled us and Julia (?) sent over necessary paperwork and instructions. We were greeted immediately upon entering, and when I say greeted, the receptionist came around to pet the dog and give her attention. Nina did the initial procedures with measure her eye pressure, tear production, vision, etc., and explained everything along the way. We were then led to a the examination room where someone came in for no other reason than to say hello to our dog. Dr. Ryan, an intern, first examined her and talked to me about her evaluation, followed by Dr. Lembo’s examination and confirmation of Dr. Ryan’s evaluation. They then discussed the treatment plan with me and asked if I had any questions. I was given a copy of Dr. Lembo’s notes and the necessary meds all before we left. I trust the staff here just after one visit and would not hesitate to recommend the practice!

We were recommended to visit these specialists when my dog had a whitish "blip" on her cornea and our normal vet was unsure. She received a thorough examine by two physicians. Happy to report all is well! Thank for caring for Madi Puppy!

We started this journey just over a year ago and it has been a roller coaster for our sweet dog. He has been through so much, but we know that he is getting the best care from your doctors to your entire staff. At this point, you feel like family to our little Oli. Thank you for taking care of him & for making us feel at ease in knowing he will be safe in your care.
