GoodVets Lakeview

I had a great experience here recently when I brought my pup in for a broken dew claw. He was in a lot of pain and Good Vets got him during when our regular vet was unavailable-on a Saturday afternoon. The vet and staff we worked with showed a great deal of empathy towards my dog and were very gently in working with him and cutting down not just the broken dew claw, but both dew claws. They are compassionate, caring, and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the office. The only recommendation I have is that I would have appreciated a head’s up in advance that two cats live freely in the clinic. My dog can be reactive towards cats and I can work with him through it if I have advance notice. Expert tip-they have excellent treat options on hand. I definitely recommend this Good Vets location!

Wonderful experience start to finish—best vet we’ve ever seen with any pet. Our shy little rescue kitty Moki was so nervous with it being her first vet visit since being adopted just days ago. Staff were so gentle, quick, and efficient. As pictured, they made sure Moki was more than comfy. Dr. Hurt was thorough in her explanations with excellent bedside manner. We especially appreciated her candor in regards to cost. Since it was a last-minute visit for us, we found it more than reasonable for the truly outstanding service. And more importantly peace of mind for our kitty! We’ll be bringing Moki (and her sibling) back!

Dr Hurt was terrific along with the all the other staff! Very communicative, transparent about pricing before anything is finished, and answered my questions very well. Had a cat specific room with bird chirping playing, offering treats, and being patient with him. THANK YOU GoodVets for your service. Recommend to any new time owner or even a current pet owner looking for a new vet.

Dr. Trefil is amazing! I transferred my cat here from the Uptown office (just because it’s even closer :]) and have had such a good experience. The staff are all friendly and accommodating while being transparent about pricing and different options. My cat has done amazing under their care and I’m grateful to have them in Lakeview!

Dr. Trefil and her team were fabulous. I recently adopted a 7 year old cat from an elderly woman, who (surprise) did not take care of the cats dental needs! During our first appointment it was discovered that a few extractions would be needed. The procedure was done a few weeks later and I was a bit nervous for it (with this being my first cat as an adult). Dr. Trefil and the team were extremely communicative during the whole process (Hillary at the front desk was also great). I also appreciated the exam room that was custom for cats (scratchers, bird noises, cat portrait on the wall). It's a few days later and my cat is healing well! If you're looking for a local vet I would highly recommend.

My cat was only a patient with them for 4-5 months but the team at GoodVets Lakeview was monumental in the extra time I was able to get with my boy. They took such good care of him and set me up for success in giving him the care he needed and extending our time together. From our first visit to saying goodbye, they were so kind and caring with us. Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy but the team at GoodVets Lakeview helped make it as careful and intentional as possible. Thank you for taking such good care of my sweet boy during his last months with us.

As someone who has previously worked in the Veterinary Medicine field at an AAHA accredited and Fear Fear certified practice for several years, I have very high expectations for animal husbandry and veterinary care. Goodvets in Lakeview not only met, but exceeded, all of my expectations. We brought our dear cat in as a new patient for what we believed to be was a stubborn bout of constipation, but to our surprise, radiographs revealed a rather large abdominal mass. Ultimately, we elected to say goodbye given our baby’s poor quality of life. Dr. Hurt, our veterinary technician (I wish I remembered their name!), and the front desk staff member Hilary, all had exceptional bedside manners and were incredibly kind, empathetic and patient. Dr. Hurt was great from the beginning — she performed the exam on the floor at our cat’s level and at her pace, provided us with multiple treatment options, and delivered the unfortunate news we received today with empathy, honesty and tact. Despite our first visit here not having the outcome we expected, Dr. Hurt and the staff were so incredibly supportive, selfless and fast-acting. This field can be an emotionally taxing and demanding one, and this staff deserves a big thank you. 100% recommend — we definitely intend to establish care for our other fur kiddo here.
