I took my cat, Ripley, in because of a bad breath issue (like, really bad) I was nervous because normally vet visits don’t go well with her. I was worried she was going to growl, hiss, scratch, etc. Dr. Radley and Christina were absolutely wonderful with her. They took the time to let her explore the room and get more comfortable before they examined her. They took the time to ask me thorough questions, thoughtfully answered my questions, and it never felt rushed. They were very gentle and sweet with her. It took Dr. Radley maybe 30 seconds to find the culprit- a bad tooth. Unfortunately, Ripley is going to have to have the tooth extracted, but I feel at ease because it seems like she’s in very good hands. It’s nice to see when vets genuinely love and care for the animals they treat. Ripley also happens to be incredibly cute, so I’m sure that helped.

I am new to the area and the location was conveniently located near my residence. I have been taking Theo here from the time he was 4 months to 15 months. Each time he is treated with intentional care. Each vet and assistant has taken the time to answer questions and clearly explain the processes to ensure a peace of mind. Highly recommend!! I appreciate all that the team does for Theo!

i needed a new vet and riverbend veterinary hospital delivered! we just moved to nc from nj and 2 days later my 16 year old cat was having serious issues. i made an appointment online (convenient!) and was able to get in right away. from the moment i walked in my stress level dropped. the receptionist, techs and drs plourde, shotts and vassar are wonderful! they are very caring and knowledgeable. they made time for me when an additional visit was needed and explained the options fully. estimates were given beforehand so there were no surprises. finding new "everything" when you move is a daunting task but thanks to riverbend vet hospital my search for a vet is over! if you are in need of a vet, do yourself and your pet a favor and go here. this place is a 10!

I have two cats, and every time I’ve taken them to Riverbend Veterinary Hospital, they have been handled so gently and with so much love. Dr. Shott and Dr. Radley as well as the other vet techs are absolutely wonderful and truly care about the animals they work with, which makes such a difference—especially with cats who can get stressed easily. I always felt comfortable asking all of my questions and sharing concerns. Dr. Shott did an excellent job explaining everything clearly and never pressured me into unnecessary tests or procedures, especially when my cat was already feeling stressed. If you’re worried about expenses, I recommend getting pet insurance ahead of time prior to issues rising. Riverbend also offers monthly payment options through Snout and Cherry, which is incredibly helpful. Please give your pets the chance to be properly cared for and thoroughly checked—Riverbend Veterinary Hospital is amazing. 🐾

We just moved to Mountain Lake and had to find a new local vet for our Cavalier Toby. Had a wonderful first experience and treatment up and down from Sara, Mackenzie and Dr. Shotts. I feel great that Toby's health is in good hands.

Our KoKoa has been going to Total Bond Riverbend since we brought her home in August 2015. We have always received excellent care for her and appreciate the caring staff. The service we received today was the same excellence as usual. They love our pup and we 💕 them.
