Everyone was amazing at Caring Hands! I highly recommend them for quality, kindness and responsiveness. My normally quiet cat was nervous going to the vet, meowing the whole way in the car. Upon entering I was quickly greeted and escorted to a cat examination room where there was a cat perch’s on the wall and calming pheromones soothing the room. My cat did an incredible job and our Tech and Dr. were clear, compassionate and knowledgeable answering all my questions.
The staff from front desk to vet were all very attentive. Dr. Katz (assuming spelling) was exceptionally thorough and caring. I felt she really cared for our cats. She had no hesitation having my wife join by phone. We felt she listened to us and made sure our cats were in great hands...caring hands (sorry, I couldn't resist). We've been taking our cats here for 3 years and they have not disappointed us anytime we gone there. It's a great practice and we really appreciate them.
Love Caring Hands Centreville - the staff and doctors are awesome. We've taken all of our cats here for the last 15 years. They are wonderful and take great care of the critters. Special shout out to Dr. Pohle who has been great with Heifer!
I came in for a yearly checkup for my 2 cats after recently moving to the area. Dr. Caleb Minger did a wonderful job making them feel comfortable and relaxed. He administered thier vaccines while they happily snacked away on a Churu. Previous vets have had to forcibly restrain my cats to administer vaccines, but my cats didn't even know they were getting shots since he was so gentle! Dr. Minger talked at length with me on some concerns I had about one of my cats and offered behavioral advice from both a professional and personal background. You can tell he really cares about animals and understand what it is like to be a pet parent. Caring Hands did not try to push any products, additional testing, or medications on me during my visit. They let me know my options if I wanted to pursue them, but were supportive of me trying at-home behavioral methods. The exam room was clean and everyone was so friendly. With such good service, I was nervous the cost would be high, but it was very reasonable! I am happy Caring Hands is right down the road from me and I will be returning to them for all my future pet needs!
My dog, Kookie loves going to CHAH-Centreville. She runs right up to the door and is happy to go inside. She loves the Pupperoni treats, of course. I love the hours of availability, along with the caring and friendly staff. Truly a place that lives up to their name!
I have been going here for more than 20 years, since my first pet, who I got with my wife. Since then I’ve noticed an increase in the procedures and price of each visit. And every single time we ended up spending more than what we had intended because the vet suggest that our pets need additional tests and or services. And each time we go we’ve never see the same vet and it seems there’s a revolving door when it comes to the vets that Caring Hands offer. The ones we like are no longer there and the ones we see are new and strangers to us that makes us feel they are trying to push extra services. Over all we got the feeling that Caring Hands was more interested making more money than the best interest of our pets.
Dr. Megan Clendenin at Caring Hands Animal Hospital has taken care of all of our pets for almost two decades. She is knowledgeable, professional, skilled, caring, and communicative. Any time we are concerned about our pets she has helped us to understand the problem, detailed diagnostic needs, developed a stepwise treatment plan, and answered all of our questions. This isn't easy with the medical complexities that our current dog, Ferdi, has but she makes it feel seamless. She also lets us know when not to worry and when there is no need for further workup. She follows up with us in person or over the phone about test results and any additional concerns. We feel quite fortunate to have her at the head of our pets' health, knowing that she will leave no stone unturned and their wellbeing will always be prioritized. We secretly hope she never retires.
