Stark County Veterinary Emergency Clinic

Our dog Duke bloated a couple weeks ago. We were an hour away. No places near us to could deal with bloat so they recommended Stark County. We called ahead to let them know we were coming and would be there in an hour. The person who was on the phone with me was so kind and calm. I was freaking out because our dog was suffering and crying in pain. When my husband got there, the staff there was ready to take him back immediately. We were fully prepared to lose Duke that night. But they saved our big boy's life. He got to celebrate his birthday the other day because of them. He got his stitches removed and his last dose of antibiotics. They kept in touch the entire time, and even sent over the information to our primary vet. From start to finish they were amazing! They are expensive, which is to be expected. Any animal ER is. But I'm truly thankful these guys were here and ready. In the nicest way possible, hopefully we won't have to see them again any time soon!

The worst day of my life was on may 24th this year. When I had to say goodbye to my sweet princess. She had what we believed to be heart failure. At 6pm that day she was running around acting okay. And at 8pm her precious heart attacked her and she couldn’t breathe without having her head all the way up in the air. I found peace knowing I did the right thing and not letting her suffer. And I believe she gave me and my family so much love her heart just ran out of love for herself. When I got into the parking lot a vet / nurse came out and me and my wife forget her name but she was so helpful and understanding. Today I went and got her ashes and everyone there tells me to have a great day and they’re sorry for our loss. When they themselves have a tough day / night ahead of them. I’ll always miss my sweet princess but I’m blessed we took her to the right place for us not to feel judgement and for her to stop suffering. She’s in heaven now 🤍🪽 thank you all and god bless. Pray that my princess isn’t upset because we are upset. But instead she’s up there playing and she’s ready for me when I come because she was my soul dog.

I had to take my boy there last night because of an obstruction and Dr. Kristen Haumschild was the most rude non-compassionate person. That person should not be even near the medical field in any way shape or form if you can’t have any compassion when you are there with your sick baby. She told me it was going to be 8-$10g for his surgery. When I said I didn’t have that kind of money. She said well there are other alternatives meaning euthanasia. I then said I was going to take him home. She threw her hands up and said OK turned around and slammed the door. He was actually able to make it through the night last night and he is at his primary vet And they’re charging me no more than $4000 and they were sweet and compassionate. Stark County veterinary emergency room needs to be closed. This isn’t my first bad encounter with them. Trust me, I will never ever go there again. I will drive farther to go to Metro if need be. They don’t even deserve one star.

Our sweet angel had to be put down today. She had been suffering and declining for a while now. Stark county Vet was very kind and compassionate in this hard time… more than I can say about her actual Vets office. Even not ever seeing Abu, they treated her like a regular. They made the process so easy and I got to hold my sweet angel in her last moments. Thank you so much

We took our dog here at 12:00 am on Sunday, 3/1. We thought for sure we would have to put her to sleep. Paisley could not stand, walk, vomited 3 times and had very rapid eye movement. It turns out she had Vestibular Disease (like vertigo in people). She stayed there two days and now she is almost 100% now. Every person we encountered was very friendly and knowledgeable. We went home each day knowing that she was in very good hands. They told us we could visit and we could call as many times as we wanted. I would highly recommend them and we would not hesitate to go there again if we needed to. They deserve 5 stars!

We had some problems with our old man which resulted in two visits in one day. The second one included us having to say goodbye to him. While it was heartbreaking, everyone was incredibly compassionate and the space for it was comforting, not so clinical. Thanks for helping us make the best of a really sad situation.

Our dog was attacked by another dog.. we called ahead and had our sweet girl there within 30 minutes. The staff and doctors were all beyond amazing and treated my girl with the most amazing love and care. The doctor called me late yesterday after her surgery and they were keeping her overnight and told me I could call anytime through the night to check in on her. And for this being an emergency and everything that came with it I don’t feel like I completely emptied my wallet. 10/10 care & will recommend to everyone! Thank you guys again for taking such amazing care of my sweet Hazel Mae ❤️
