City Creatures Animal Hospital

As I entered City Creatures, I was greeted by the male receptionist who was helpful, kind and patient with me. Then a tech came to get my puppy and me for our appointment. I was surprised to walk into a welcoming room that felt calming and well thought out. The tech treated me and my puppy well and she even gave my puppy treats and cheese. She also informed me that I could let the puppy run around so she would be comfortable. The doctor was awesome. She came in, sat on the floor with the puppy and made us both feel at ease and comfortable. All in all I would highly recommend this vet office. The kindness and patience they showed us, I have never experienced before. Thank you!

I have been taking my dog and cats to City Creatures for years. They always get me in for an appointment quickly! The staff is always so nice and treat my pets great! Even after moving out of the city and to the suburbs, I make the drive to City Creatures to make sure my pets get the best care!

We have been seeing Dr. Reiller for a few years now for the needs of our three senior animals, 2 dogs and a cat. We love that Dr. Reiller is not pushy and is very down to earth. He takes the time to listen and presents options not only based on the pets comfort level, but ours as well. We also incorporate holistic modalities with our babies and he is very understanding of our choices and also genuinely seems curious about the natural remedies we incorporate. We did have to say goodbye to our 20 year old cat a couple of years ago and their team was extremely compassionate and caring during the process. It was the first time my husband and I had ever had to make such a tough decision and they were very patient and thoughtful throughout the visit. We have experienced a handful of vets over the years that dont leave you with the sense of assurance and calm that is so important when making decisions on behalf of your family member that you are advocating for. We are so glad to have found that with Dr. Reiller.

I've been to this vet over the course of multiple years with multiple animals, ranging from birds to my dogs to my cats. Unfortunately it has seemed to take a dive in service and attentiveness. They made a "mix up " with my cat and another clients cat and gave my pet unauthorized shots when it was supposed to be a normal yearly check in. Albeit a harmless shot, the dose and medication was for an entirely different animal and it could have been potentially MUCH worse just out of pure negligence. On top of that, the staff in the lobby was loudly complaining about other workers in a pretty unprofessional manner which made us very uncomfortable with the competency of the people who are trusted to take care of our pets. Dr. Ernst has been wonderful with all of our pets, but unfortunately due to this situation and the behavior and speech of the staff up front, we will be no longer be using City Creatures services.

Found my forever vet! Dr Ernst (sp?) was thorough and patient and provided teaching about some of my concerns. She is extremely capable! Vet tech Jacob was very gentle and caring to my bearded dragon Kai. This dragon was in such a good mood after his experience there, and he can be quite skittish with new experiences. Receptiosts were friendly and accomodating to get me in on short notice. The doctor performed all the tests I asked for, explained the results, shared her techniques she uses for stubborn dragons like mine lol. I felt the bill was very fair for all they did, and for the medicine, syringes, and critical care they sent me home with. So nice to have a competant exotic vet with such a great bedside manner.

Used to be a great animal hospital. Took care of my animals for many years. When my dog was seen recently by them for an issue they told me to call if anything changes and they'll see her immediately. When I called they turned their backs on her during normal business hours. No longer taking my animals there as it is not about the animals for them, only themselves now. Reply to CC statement - Lying doesn't help. I called 82 minutes before, not 15. Your receptionist was rude and uncaring, and is a big part of the problem. Also, you neglect to address that I was TOLD TO CALL AND WOULD BE SEEN IMMEDIATELY BY YOUR STAFF AND DOCTOR. Stop trying to play the victim here. Take a look at the reviews you've received for the last 6 months and you'll see you are the problem, not me or your other previous long term clients. Oh and as a final note, my dog did die and you don't care.

I brought my cat Jersey here (because the place that I normal would that him didn't have an opening till 12/1/2025) Wednesday 11/26/2025 not knowing why he was sick? I got an estimate of over $850 I can afford that I'm on social security so I payed for what I could afford and said let see what happens. Today Thanksgiving I watch my cat die it wasn't pleasant. Yep just a little bit bitter because it was hard to watch and not be able to do anything I prayed to god let him go, I just wanted to share.
