Veterinary Care Group - Greenpoint

VCG has been taking care of my senior cat since I adopted him Oct 22’ back when Dr Wellington was at the practice. There was a change for a while but so happy Dr Schoen arrived. (There is another great Dr as well who we’ve seen a couple times for last min situations). She has been taking such great care of us as we manage all of his conditions. Which unfortunately is many. The techs & front desk are always friendly, helpful & quick to respond. (Kayla, Justin to name a few). Prescriptions have become automated & more cost effective for us etc. We’re quite the regulars these days & I’m really grateful to have this place in my neighborhood. Thank you!

I am so grateful for the expertise, care, and professionalism of this vet. My senior cat had a seizure, couldn't walk & I brought her here to find out how to help her. The staff was very caring but stressed urgency in bringing her in and made room on the schedule immediately. They walked me through cost for each step in the process before proceeding, which I really appreciated, and even suggested that we handle testing in phases to reduce cost. After a blood test, it was clear that my cat was in kidney failure and wouldn't make it - at that point, the vet and staff turned to being compassionate and empathetic, allowing me to take all the time I needed to accept that today would be my last day with my cat. I cannot stress enough how respectful and caring their handling of this was, even during the steps where we discussed cost and the handling of her remains - I am so grateful that I specifically came here: I know my cat was handled with the love she deserved, even in her last moments. Also - this was my first time coming to this vet as I am new to the area. Despite that, they treated me like family. Special thank you to Dr. Schoen and Daisy, who were there for me on the day this happened and went above and beyond in follow ups. I will always trust this vet with the lives of my pets and will absolutely be referring friends here going forward.

This location is great. Both my cats received wonderful care from the entire team, the doctor is very knowledgeable and cares about the animals, not just checking boxes. Great suggestions for care as well, and both my cats tummies are doing much better. Having never really dealt with a vet, I’m glad to say my cats are healthy and now up to date with shots. They may not look very happy in the photos but they are happy campers!! Thank you VCG!!

Highly recommend VCG in Greenpoint! Our dog loves Dr. Schoen and her talented team who truly go above and beyond to keep our dog healthy and happy. They’re also super helpful answering my (many) questions.

I have been going here for over a year now. The place is very expensive but I found it convenient and the staff friendly. When my dog was attacked in daycare yesterday, and the people that care for him rushed him to my vet, they turned him away, with a bleeding, punctured ear, even though they claimed he needed sutures immediately, all because they said they had a fully booked day. To say I am outraged does not even cover it. Instead, my dog was brought to Bond in Williamsburg where they immediately attended to him with no question, even though he was a brand new patient. I’d rather have a vet who can handle urgent visits than deal with this place ever again.

The vet is the best..the doctor was able to be gentle with my dobbie. I would def give this place a try. They are super helpful and take there time.
