Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic

We have found a wonderful Vet. The care our dog gets there is amazing. They truly care about him. Dr. Yehle and the other Dr.‘a treat our pet like he is one of their own. Truly caring and wonderful care. You pet will be well taken care of here.

We are very appreciative of the whole Elmbrook team. The vets, techs and front desk are all so personable and you can tell they really care for the animals they see. One of my dogs needs a little extra care and they are always so accommodating and knowledgeable. It’s a great culture and they even have a children’s play area my toddler absolutely loves, you don’t see those much these days so that’s a fun bonus! If there is a wait, it’s worth the wait! Thank you Elmbrook!

Dr. Paul Yehle is an extraordinary vet. He takes such good care of my little dog for preventative care, as well as urgent needs. He is always gentle, and I can see that he truly loves what he does as a vet. I am also so happy with his fair pricing and easy scheduling. The grooming clinic operated at the same location is outstanding; I am so pleased with our first visit there with Shantelle and I highly recommend her! She completely transformed my overgrown and matted dog who had waited for a groom due to illness. I have only good things to say about Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Yehle and his staff, as well as the grooming Clinic, Shantelle and her colleagues!

I had been going to Elmbrook Vet for the last three years. I first found them when I moved to Brookfield, and even after relocating to Wauwatosa, I stuck with them because they had been good to my dog—until now. My dog has been dealing with a minor ACL tear, and I’ve been carefully managing her recovery. At our annual checkup, I brought this up to Dr. Nelson, hoping for guidance on anything more I could do to support her healing. Instead of offering any helpful advice, she dismissively told me to "just let the knee tear" and "get ready for surgery." She then added something along the lines of, "Oh, and be ready for the other knee to go—just so you know, it’ll cost about $3,500 per joint, so you better start saving up." This was beyond unprofessional. Not only was her response completely lacking in empathy, but it was also condescending and inappropriate. A vet’s job is to help pet owners care for their animals, not to assume financial situations or push surgery without discussing alternatives. Needless to say, I will never be coming back here. If you want a vet who actually listens and supports you in making the best choices for your pet, look elsewhere.

I was told that my little ladies are quite affectionate and adorable, and that brightened my day, considering the battle I had with one of them to get them there in the first place. The staff was kind and courteous throughout the whole process and made sure my ladies were well taken care of. Thank you for all you do.

Abundant thanks to Dr. Schmitz and her team for veterinary excellence! She has treated our multiple pets with great expertise and loving care for both our furry family and for us. We are grateful for her experience and truly kind demeanor, always!

Dr. Nelson, and the team at Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic are the best. I am always looking for the right vet for our pets, and I am so glad we live close to them. Every time we bring our dogs in, they are kind and excited to see us, give us the time to explain what might be happening, and they give us the feedback and information we exactly need. I've taken our dogs to Dr. Nelson for over a year now, and I know they are so well cared for and loved when in their hands.
