BEST VET Affordable Animal Hospital

I love Best Vet! I’ve been coming here for about 6 years now with my chihuahua & it’s always been a good experience. From calling to make an appointment to checking in with the girls at the front desk, everyone is so friendly & helpful. Dr. Armstrong has many many years of experience, he’s knowledgeable & makes sure my baby is up to date with his health & wellness. Our most recent visit was around Easter & they had a set up area for the dogs to take Easter photos I loved that so much & def took advantage! We didn’t see Dr. Armstrong, he was out, but we saw an associate of his, a Hispanic woman who was also so amazing & very knowledgeable like Dr. Armstrong, you can tell they have a sincere care for dogs. They also take the most affordable prices, trust me I’ve called around & gotten quotes, his prices beats everyone in palm beach county, so reasonable! They also have Saturday availability & late evening appointments which is very convenient! This is my go to vet & I’ll always recommend this place to everyone I know.

While Dr. Armstrong himself is excellent—knowledgeable, caring, and truly attentive to both pets and their owners—unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the staff. My experiences with the support team have been consistently disappointing. Communication is poor, with different staff members providing conflicting and often inaccurate information, making it difficult to get clear or reliable answers. There is also a noticeable lack of follow-through; on two separate occasions when I brought my pet in for bathing and grooming, I was never notified when my pet was ready for pickup. Each time, I was met with excuses rather than accountability. Most concerning was the quality of the grooming service. The result was far below professional standards and appeared rushed and uneven, which was extremely disappointing. Dr. Armstrong is someone I would trust and return to for veterinary care. However, I cannot recommend the additional services offered by the practice until there is a meaningful improvement in staff professionalism, communication, and overall quality of service. I genuinely hope the practice addresses these concerns, as it has the potential to provide a much better overall experience.

Always have a great experience. They've helped me so much with all my pitbulls. The doctor gives great advice and tips on what I can and can't do with newborn pups. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. I've been to so many other vets and pet hospitals and by far Best Vet has them beat. Their very affordable unlike other places I've been to that are over charging and the people are rude and the female doctors are a**holes. If you have a pet that needs help or just a check up I suggest you bring them to Best Vet you won't be sorry.

Yesterday morning, I brought my French Bulldog for her spaying surgery. Initially, we were told the price would be $250. However, when we arrived, we were informed the cost would be $350, likely due to her weight (19 pounds), plus an additional $50 for medications, bringing the total to $400. After picking her up around 5:30 PM, she spent the entire night vomiting non-stop. We brought her back early the next morning, extremely concerned because she was very weak and unresponsive. At that time, they gave her anti-nausea medication and IV fluids, but charged us an extra $50 for the treatment. I believe that if the price adjustment from $250 to $350 was due to her weight, it should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. Also, it was concerning that she was discharged while still vomiting, and that we were charged again for addressing a complication likely related to the surgery. In my opinion, post-surgical care for such immediate complications should be included, or at least properly explained upfront. Overall, the communication regarding costs and post-surgery expectations could be much clearer.

I was referred to this place, but what a mistake! Arrived for appointment on time, yet waited over an hour to be seen. They claim 1st exam to be free, but it’s a false advertisement, cause they squeeze that price upcharging into the medication they prescribe! Incorrectly too. Mine was double priced and they didn’t bother to explain I could have gotten it half a price if ordered online. Front desk is sweet(ish), kept repeating how sorry she is and how much she understands, supervisor Ethan was not helpful either, instead offered to come back for more services for a discount! Really?! I lost trust in their business already, why would I? The medication isn’t working, 3 days later my dog refuses to even walk how much in pain he is. Stay away!!! Maybe it’s not the worst, but definitely NOT THE BEST! I’m seeing another vet now, it’s confirmed the diagnosis was wrong too. Clearly, business is running upcharging for meds that are not even right. Disappointed and feeling robbed!

I’m honestly heartbroken and furious about my experience with this vet office. I boarded my dog here thinking he’d be safe and cared for but he came home completely different. He had two broken nails, both bleeding, and the staff tried to say it was from a "trim." There’s no way. It looks more like he was clawing to get out or something happened that they’re not telling me. What’s even worse is they didn’t tell me he was bleeding when they gave him back to me! I only noticed once we got home. Then, not long after, he started having diarrhea and was clearly in distress. He went in perfectly fine and came home hurt, anxious, and sick. I trusted them with my dog and they completely failed him. I would never bring my pet back here.
