Dr Smith is the BEST. We have gone to Arapahoe since we got our first dog. He takes such excellent and compassionate care of these furry family members. Truly a premium vet hospital

I've only had one appointment here, the only other times I've been was to get my pets cremated and even that experience was mid tier. I went in for a wellness exam (required) to get an estimate for my guinea pig to be neutered. The entire time the doctor was very standoffish and seemed to be judging me, dispite me give a clear and reasonable explanation as to why I wanted this done. He advised against it and then proceeded to tell me that he was NOT certified to preform said procedure. Why offer it then? Thats not right. Throughout the appointment he also over explained how to care for guinea pigs, I get he has plenty of clients but I had already explained that I know these things and I've owned guinea pigs/rodents for awhile. He also commented on how I need to bond with them so they aren't uncomfortable with being picked up. I JUST got them, I cant get that sort of bond in a week. I said that. He also hasn't sent over estimates yet, its been a few days. Maybe he was just having a bad day, either way stop offering a service you arent qualified for, that makes you liable for some much. At least the techs were sweet.

Been taking animals here for over a decade. They have done everything from basic dog and cat care to surgery on my elderly rabbit to grooming (beak trim) on my large parrots to diagnosing and treating parasites on my large tortoise. Whenever my dog gets into something I feel confident I can have her be seen within a few hours, and then still have her be thrilled for a day of daycare the following week. And when my cat broke his foot one summer they were able to see him every week for 6 weeks to reapply his hated cast/bandage, no matter how much he hated them by the end. Great care and great people!

I only have high praise for Dr. Smith and his team at AAH. He's been my dog & cat's vet since I moved here in 2017. He's professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, thorough, kind, wise, thinks out of the box and more. I'm so grateful for the care they all have given my fur babies over the years.

Mr. Smith and the team at Arapahoe Animal Hospital are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. They have helped us in major emergencies and standard care. I can recommend them enough!

Arapahoe animal hospital is located at 55th and Arapahoe, roughly. It's an older building and the interior reflects that. I had a good experience today, taking my older dog in for a routine checkup and vaccinations. Older dog was comfortable, but didn't try and sell me a lot of special treatments or expensive medications. I was seen by an assistant very quickly. It did take a little while for the doctor to come into the exam room. The staff was all friendly and efficient, and I felt like my dog was treated thoughtfully.

Dr Hayes and his team are amazing. My husband is a falconer Our patient is actually a Hawk. There are maybe 2 -3 people in the state qualified to treat raptors and we feel very fortunate to have Dr. Hayes expertise. We were seen as an emergency twice in the past few months and Dr Hayes made us feel like priority #1 all while handling his other patients too. This teams compassion, care and expertise are 2nd to none. If you find your pet in his care consider yourself fortunate. Thank you Dr. Hayes and Team
