Bismarck Animal Clinic & Hospital

We recently moved to Bismarck from Korea with our two Italian greyhounds that we had purchased there. We established ourselves at Bismarck Animal Hospital and Clinic. Although they were very busy they were happy to accommodate us. The staff and Dr. Steffan are amazing. A definite shout out to Bella and Katie for their professionalism and patience. Unfortunately, our male dog Tarkin contracted heartworm in Korea. Dr. Steffan took all necessary precautions, answered all of my questions, and followed up with texts and emails detailing precisely what the treatment plan for Tarkin will be to allow him to live a long and healthy life. We could not be happier that we were blessed to have such a caring doctor and staff. Do not go anywhere else with your loved pet!

A very good, clean and friendly veterinary clinic. Been coming here for many years as their office was the only one in the area with experience with Keeshonden. Dr. Anderson has seen two of my dogs, and we like coming to see her. Visiting to get shots updated and to discuss spay. They are pretty busy so if you need a visit, book sooner rather than later. They have appointment booking on their website.

I unfortunately would not recommend this pet hospital, especially for end-of-life care. This is such a sensitive and emotional time, and my experience did not reflect the level of compassion and professionalism you would hope for. The cost for euthanasia was quite high (around $460 for a cat), which would be easier to accept if the care matched the price. However, the overall experience felt impersonal and, at times, inappropriate. There were moments where vet techs were making jokes nearby and to my face, which felt very out of place given the situation. Additionally, the veterinarian did not come in to speak with me until right before the procedure, which made the process feel rushed and lacked the opportunity for a thoughtful, supportive conversation beforehand. Overall, the level of empathy and attentiveness from staff did not meet expectations during such an important moment. I hope the clinic takes feedback like this seriously and improves their approach to end-of-life care.

Our experience was great. We were very concerned about putting Bailey out but Dr. Steffan was awesome. She talked us through everything and the staff checked up on Bailey after the surgery. I would really recommend them. They treated our Bailey like we needed them to because she is our baby.

This vet has been amazing to us! All of their staff are so incredibly kind and caring. They’ve been with us through thick and thin, in times of celebration and sorrow, and in all of it, they’ve been truly wonderful. They have cared for our cats and dogs for many years. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Their staff are just genuinely that great.

From the time you enter the door, the staff are friendly, helpful and make you and your pet feel welcome. The technicians are very professional, caring and efficient. Dr. Anderson is amazing! She is professional, takes the time to answer questions and you know your pet is in great hands.
