I had such an amazing experience at our recent vet appointment and truly wanted to take a moment to thank Dr. Julie Mischke. I have three Persian cats, each with very different needs, and she was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive with all of them. She made us feel completely comfortable from the moment we walked in, provided detailed and thoughtful care for each kitty, and made the entire visit feel pleasant and far less stressful than I expected. What meant the most to me is how she treated my cats with the level of importance and care they truly deserve. You can tell she genuinely cares. If I could give 100 stars, I absolutely would. Highly, highly recommend!

Took my newest addition for his first vet visit, this was also our first time with this Vet. First impression, the place was extreamly clean, open, and comfortable. The staff helped us right away and were super friendly. They got us to a room fairly quickly, took down all the notes they needed, then brought him to the back for his exam and testing. The Vet came in and gave us his health summary she was very personable and friendly, once Cooper was finished we checked out at the front and were on our way. It was a great experience, so much so that my daughter is going to start bringing her pooch here too.

After our former Vet closed down a few years ago, we needed to find a our boy Ace a new Dr. We heard great things about Thurman Veterinary Center so I contacted them and was told they were accepting new patients. Now Ace has had medical issues ever since we received him at 8 weeks. Thurman Vet Center was really awesome, it made us feel like his last Vet was only guessing at his symptoms and all treatment was like trial and error. We were spending lots of money there (any good human would, thinking they were getting great care). Once Ace started getting seen at Thurman, our boy Ace seen a big improvement. No more guessing on diagnosis, actually doing test to pinpoint the actual problem and treating his issues correctly. Now this past weekend our boy, a 13 yr old German Shepherd passed. I regret not using Thurman sooner, but in Ace's later yrs I do believe Thurman made a huge difference in his life. If Thurman is accepting new patients, I suggest you take your pets there for the best care available. My wife and I thank Thurman Vet Center for everything they did for our boy Ace.

Took Cooper in for his wellness visit today and couldn’t be more impressed with Thurman Veterinary Center. Dr. Julie Mischke was fantastic — thorough, patient, and clearly cares about what she does. Cooper did great, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. If you’re looking for a solid vet in Bakersfield, this is a good one.

Best vet we have been too. The staff are very professional and they are quick. Most vet visits take forever, but not here. They really value your time and do a very thorough exam in no time. Any treatment recommendation has been spot on!!!

I can't thank the team at Thurman Veterinary Clinic enough for their kindness. My dog is usually terrified of the vet, but they handled her with so much patience and compassion. Dr. Thurman was very gentle and took the time to answer all my questions. It’s a huge relief to find a clinic that cares for their patients like their own pets!
