Thrive Pet Healthcare - Manchaca

I love this Thrive location! I started bringing now 11 year-old year Doberman Pinscher, Juno, years ago and I have never wanted to go anywhere for vet care since! The staff here really helped me cope as my baby girl transitioned into her senior years. I just started bringing my dog’s 2 year-old great niece, Tiny, to this location and I am so happy that Thrive Manchaca is here to care for BOTH of my girls!

It's the best place for my little golden, they always care about him a lot and he leaves happy, I brought him to complete his vaccination schedule and everything went perfectly🩷

I love this new vet for my fur babies. They offered the best service during my visit. Helpful information and took care of my pet promptly. I see my self coming here again! And again and again!! 😀😀

Had a great vet wellness check up for 2 cats. Was easy to set up back to back appts for the same day via their website. Vet tech takes the time to discuss any issues and gives you break down of costs. Dr. Smithee was kind and shared dietary tips on renal issues that often plague senior cats. They called back in 2 days with test results and recommendations. Have been with this vet for a couple years now and always have good vibes with the staff.

We’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and the staff here are so kind and helpful. Whenever we bring in our dogs they get doted on which makes the whole visit much less stressful for them and us! In particular we see Dr. Smithee who is an absolute saint. Our senior girl Sushi comes in pretty often since she’s getting up there in age and they’re always very accommodating and supportive to us and her.

First time visiting Thrive and I was very very happy with the level of care. I am a transfer from a different vet in town and I found Thrive to be so much better - The customer service was great, the price was a lot better than I had been paying (as a first time visit they also waved the physical exam cost) and they gave a lot of viable alternatives of things I could do with my dog rather than trying to upsell.

I have never felt more like a transaction than I did today when calling my local vet. My dogs got into some Valentine’s Day chocolate, but I wanted to talk to my actual practitioner about the make up of the "chocolate" Not only did the women who answered not let me talk to anyone she was very very disconnected from the fact that my dogs, whom they’ve seen here for years mind you, had chocolate and could potentially been poisoned. No worries though - I called Paws vet. Not only did they put me on the phone with a vet tech and a vet, they didn’t charge me anything to review the type of chocolate the dogs consumed, the amount they consumed, and the sweet women even walked me through how to administer peroxide and how to give my sweet pups. In a world where people treat your baby’s like a transaction, where if you’re not able to swipe your card they have no desire to help. Be a Paws. Where the team’s first concern was the safety of my sweet boys! I’ll 100% be switching vets, telling my entire south Austin neighborhood about the experience and ending my 4+ year relationship with this money centric vet, immediately.
