Brushy Creek is the only vet Gizmo has ever known, and you’ve truly been there for our whole family—especially this past year as we welcomed another baby and navigated some learning curves with Giz. Routine checkups are always wonderful, you take the time to answer all my questions, and you’ve been so responsive and available during several urgent concerns. Dr Leach & the vet tech that assisted in the visit for my Goldendoodle were extremely helpful & friendly during his first visit to Brushy Creek. They were very personable in making sure he was comfortable - for as long as I live in Austin i’ll continue to bring my dog here!

Just finished my cat's first appointment at Brushy Creek Veterinary Clinic and we had a very pleasant visit! The office is quaint, cozy and inviting. The office staff were warm and welcoming. The vet tech was very kind, loving, patient and gentle towards my kitty. Megan Leach, DVM is my cat's new vet and she was wonderful! She was attentive, kind, loving and gentle with my kitty. She answered all my questions thoroughly and with patience. I felt I could actually ask questions, which was wonderful. Over all we had a great experience, and pricing is much more affordable than our previous vet clinic. I look forward to my cats care with the Brushy Creek team!

I have been sitting on this review for some time and now it is time to share my experience. I was a patient from 2015-2021. This vet is full of bad practices. My dog had an undiagnosed ACL tear for 1.5+ years even though I took her here multiple times for help. It took me taking her to an emergency vet to finally get some help for my baby. That was the day I resented Brushy Creek Vet. When I took her here for her frequent limp, I was met with "give her aspirin". How deplorable to recommend that considering there is medicine for animals. Disgusting. On top of that, my dog was NON VIOLENT, sweet and submissive. A man with a black beard and glasses man handled her and held her so hard on that sad metal table. I was so appalled. I could not believe the treatment of a sweet baby in front of my face and it still haunts me to this day. Horrible. I wish people would wake up and stop coming here, especially if they recommend that you give your pet ASPIRIN. Also the front staff woman always seemed annoyed and bothered that she had to do her job. Wonder if she is still there. My dog has now passed due to a misdiagnoses from another vet in the same area (City Limits). We are suppose to trust vets and their staff with our animals and this is how this specific facility treated mine.

After more than 25 years as loyal clients of Brushy Creek Vet Clinic, it pains me to say that we can no longer recommend them. Since Dr. Naylor’s retirement in December, the clinic’s priorities seem to have shifted away from patient care and toward the bottom line. Our recent experience with Dr. Leach was deeply disappointing and left us feeling that our dog’s well‑being was no longer the focus. It’s heartbreaking to say this after decades of trust and positive experiences, but we will not be returning to their facility.

We have trusted our pets with Brushy Creek Veterinary Clinic for years. We loved Dr. Naylor, and we now love Dr. Leach. They do not rush through appointments and do not pressure us to purchase non-essentials. Highly recommend!

Horrible experience with unprofessional staff!! Have been a customer over 20 years. First red flag was with Dr. Leach, she performed unnecessary services without consulting us regarding the new add ons. The first quote which she mentioned we were fine with until she added additional services without consulting us, which every other vet clinic does, and the bill ended up at $800 for unnecessary add ons. After that instance we requested Dr. Naylor since he is the one our pets usually sees. He wrote a prescription in which when we went to fill at the pharmacy, the pharmacy tried to verify with the clinic and the clinic mentioned they had no record of this prescription due to their disorganization. Last red flag was mixing up the service between our two dogs. Sad to see how the service for this clinic has drastically deteriorated. Avoid at all costs!
