I just wanted to give an update on my baby. She was seen on 1/29/25 for pelvic fractures and dislocated hips. She is a 2 1/2 year old chiweenie who was full of like and love before the accident. My husband and I didn't think twice about driving to the small animal hospital to get her the help that we were told only they could provide. The surgery was successful but we were told that she may never be 100%, possibly not even 80%. She may have a limp, may not run very well, we already knew that as long as she could live the rest of her life happy, those things didn't matter. Fast forward 11 months to today, this baby is 100% and has been for over 7 months! She runs, she plays and ruffhouses with her sister, she is HAPPIER THAN EVER! She has NO limp, NO problems running, clinging stairs, jumping( which we try not to let her do anyway). The medical team was AMAZING! The only thing left to prove her surgery, other than the screw, is a scar on her left hip. Lillie Rose Carr and her fur parents want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone involved in her care while she was there. Even if you only sat with her during her recovery. I will forever be greatful to you all for letting me keep my baby, and allowing her to be able to live a full, unlimited, very happy life.
Dr. McElroy and staff are amazing! They took care of two of my kitties when they were having issues, go to the bottom of one of my cats life long issue and setup a workable treatment plan for both! I’m sad I’m moving away after finding them. I thought prices were reasonable compared to other vets I have been to in the past! Thank you so much!
Great place!!! Friendly staff, great doctor!! I took my dogs in yesterday amazing how well they work well with them. And if you have any concerns, they will help and answer. The best will continue to bring King and Stoney back❤️🐶🐶
Grateful to find a cat friendly vet. I took my two 1 year old Persian cats today and had an excellent experience. I'm very pleased with Dr. Nicole Barnes and will definitely return with my other 2 Persian cats in the fall.
Dr. Smith, Dr. McElroy, Jeanie, and the entire staff are amazing folks. We adopted a senior dog, and AVH helped us take great care of her. They are very responsive to emails, flexible with appointments, and fill prescriptions quickly. They explain things in a way that's easy to understand and offer information on various treatment options. When it was time to let Dobby go, Dr. McElroy was so compassionate and patient with my questions and feelings of uncertainty. They handled the cremation arrangements, got a paw print, and sent a very nice condolence card. All of my future pets will go to AVH.
We have been using Auburn Veterinary Hospital for several years now for our cat. We have always loved this vet clinic and have been cared for by both Dr. Barnes and Dr. Smith. Recently our cat had some more serious issues and the amazing care we received prompted me to write this review. Dr. Smith took such great care of our cat and went above and beyond with her referral process and getting us to the right people to help our cat. Please don't hesitate to make this your main vet here in Auburn.
My girlies luv Drs. Barnes and Smith (even if they don’t luv their vaccines)! All the employees are super kind, the facility is clean, and the services are MUCH less pricey compared to other local vet offices. I wouldn’t dream of going elsewhere, and highly recommend them to everyone. 🙂
