Couldn't recommend Dr Shepherd and his great/caring staff any higher. Chose them because they were within walking distance of my house and 12+ years later I am so proud to have them helping take care of my precious pet. Dr Shepherd is the lone vet in a busy practice so quick appointments can be tricky to schedule. They keep emergency appointments available for day-of care which I've had to utilize 10+ times, always getting my pet thoroughly examined

Dr. Shepherd and his staff are wonderful. They listen, ask questions, and are kind and responsive to pets.

I love this veterinarian.. i took my cat in for a follow up appointment after he had kidney stones.. they were very friendly and informative of the visit details.. and it was reasonably priced i think.. i mean i dont know the going rate on a check up for a cat but it seemed fairly priced. They also sold special food my cat needs right there and walked me thru the correct food for him. And on top of that they let me pay over the phone like 3 days later.. talk about trusting..highly reccomend..

FRAH is a fantastic veterinary practice. The staff are all incredibly caring, helpful, and personable. Every time I go in to get more food, they ask about how my cat is doing. They truly do care about the pets they take care of. Much like going to see your primary care doctor for your own health needs, your pet gets to see the same doctor at FRAH, which I feel greatly increases the level of care they receive. I will solely use FRAH for my current, and future pets’ healthcare needs.

We brought our cat here for her first checkup since being adopted. The staff was very kind and they doted over our kitty to the point she wouldn't have minded staying longer! Very happy to have found them.

Dr. Shepherd was born to be a vet. His approach with our little furry one is excellent. His staff is also the real deal! You can tell they love animals there and aren't just showing up to get a paycheck. Thank you all for all your hard work and follow up care treating us like family will keep us coming back again and again!

We went to this vet for 28 years. Our dog woke up with a severe case of vestibular disease (couldn't walk, tilted head, no balance, twitchy eye). I called the clinic expecting to get an appointment and was told to go to the hospital instead. They had surgery in the morning and couldn't get us in in the afternoon. They said they could schedule an appointment for 2 days later. I asked what I was supposed to do for 2 days with a dog that couldn't walk. She just continued to tell me they couldn't do anything. I don't know if I'm more upset that I lost my best friend that day or that my vet turned me away. Thankfully the wonderful people at Appanasha were kind enough to take us in. I'm so very appreciative of the care Appanasha gave to us that day. A truly caring facility. We drove out of our way for 20 of the 28 years we went to your clinic because we liked it (even though it was more expensive). Right now I can't begin to tell you how upset I am to be told to go somewhere else because we were not important to you that day. I will never take another animal to you again.
