Polar Pets Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Rizor and Polar Pets have been an enormous value add to the caretaking of my dogs. My senior dog had a large tumor removed and from pre-surgery evaluation, blood testing, surgery, post-op and afterwards, my girl was taken care of well. Dr. Rizor also performed an excellent surgery on my Labrador. I recommended the services of Dr. Rizor and his staff to all pet owners.

I’ve brought my cats here for about 2 years now and have had a great experience each time. Friendly staff, easy quick check in and gentle/patient with the kitties. Exams are quick, informative, and reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend.

Oh my gosh my dog had puppy (12 weeks) rabies vaccine and 1year rabies vaccine. Took her in for a pre-spay appointment and was told they don’t follow the State of Alaska’s vaccine recommendations (after the 1yr vaccine then it’s every 3yrs) . I guess their policy is to vaccinate every 12 months as I was told her vaccine had expired (4 months ago) so she would need Another rabies vaccine before spaying even though she had her last one 14 months ago. Antibodies didn’t matter, State recommendations didn’t matter it was Their policy and we should go somewhere else. Over-vaccination is NOT healthy and a lack of caring, kindness and compassion, you bet we will. We love our dogs and I want a Vet that cares enough to listen to our concerns.

As some veterinary clinics are not taking new clients, Polar Pets is. This was my first time here. I really like this place. Easy check-in, wonderful nurse, and great vet!!! All my questions were patiently answered, and my 2 kitties accepted their 2 shots and nail trimming very calmly. We will return for other kitty needs. Thank you!

I dropped off my two cats Kuro and Kizu to be neutered on 6/19/24. They were happy, healthy, and ready to be picked up less than four hours later. The vet and the techs were kind, informative and skilled. If you need a vet, use Polar Pets!

The staff there was outstanding. They got me in on short notice. I needed health certificates for my turtles. They’re are not many exotic vets in town.

Best veterinarian and staff in Anchorage. They took the time to get to know my pups and listened to my concerns. Very thorough vet care and I was not feeling rushed out the door. I love that! Their prices are also lower than at our prior veterinary practice. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed. ❤️🐶
