Anchorage Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care

I am pretty disappointed with my new patient experience (or lack thereof) at this vet clinic. I live in Anchorage and recently decided to transition from my Palmer vet to one here in town. I had heard great things about the Anchorage Vet Clinic and made a new patient appt last week. After receiving an appt confirmation email when I made the initial appt, and a follow-up confirmation the night before, I showed up to my appt and they did not have me on the schedule. Instead of apologizing and trying to remedy the situation, the manager or reception lead proceeds to tell me that its my fault they do not have me on the schedule because I did not put an appt deposit down. This was not made clear to me. Why would you confirm my appt with me the day before, not inform me I needed to put down an appt deposit, and then proceed to tell me its my fault when I show up for my confirmed appt and I am not on the schedule? Be professional and take ownership. I have been with my palmer vet for 15 years, so trusting another vet office was a big deal for me. Needless to say, I am not happy with my initial experience and its something I feel other new patients should be aware of.

Absolutely amazing experience! As a vet tech myself, I can say that Dr. Richardson and the entire team was incredibly efficient, professional, and kind from start to finish. They took great care of my cats and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. On top of that, their prices were very reasonable compared to other clinics I've been to in Anchorage. Highly recommend this clinic!

Dr Mutton is really amazing! She always remembers my dogs name even when visits are few and far between. She shows him lots of love and compassion like he is her own dog! She gave him quality care of his twice injured paw and also explained what I needed to do post surgery really clearly. Both doctors my dog has seen at this clinic are top notch. We had our first appointment here today, and our vet tech, Ash, made it such a positive experience! She's kind, patient, and compassionate, and really took the time to connect with my dog and I. She truly creates a safe space. Thank you so much, Ash!!!!

We have been here multiple times over the past few years for routine shots, minor dog injuries, and saying goodbye to our beloved kitty. The staff has been so compassionate and kind with every interaction from the vet to the front desk staff.

Dr. John and the staff at the clinic are wonderful. You can actually sense their genuine concerns for the well-being of your pet. More importantly, they seem to understand that your pet is more than a "pet," but a part of the family. Murphy thanks you as well.

Went in on urgent care. Staff was very friendly and accommodating Veterinary was very through and ended with a referral to an orthopedic veterinarian. I was called and my dog seen by the orthopedic surgeon within a couple days. Called a second time to urgent care for a female that had recently given birth. Again they were very accommodating and helpful. Saw my girl the same day and she was given a clean bill of health. Definitely going to be my regular routine and urgent care veterinary clinic.
