Just had an extremely positive experience with Dr. Sawickij at Allentown Animal Care. It’s not easy finding a vet that is competent working with birds. Our budgie came in with a tumor on her back. The first visit went well. We talked about options and decided to give medicine a try first. Surgery to remove the tumor was decided on after several compassionate conversations. I’m happy to say the surgery went extremely well and our bird is recovering nicely. Everyone at the office is very kind. I would highly recommend Dr. Sawickij and AAC for ANY exotics needs.

Absolutely love Allentown Animal Care. Dr. Mallory and her team are just amazing. We have a difficult kitty we love to bits and Dr. Mallory is the first vet we had that really understood where we were coming from and helped us come up with plans that was realistic and achievable, without judgment. The whole team is wonderful. Everyone is so caring and understanding. They are very responsive when we reach out, and their follow-up is fantastic. There is no price you can put on the kind of peace of mind having a good vet you trust is.

Last week, I made an appointment with a day’s notice for a cockatiel I’ve been fostering from a bad situation. We saw Dr. Sawickij who was very thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. We had a follow up scheduled for a week later, but unfortunately our little Lemon declined and passed away at a nearby ER. The rest of the staff was also very kind and competent and the price was very reasonable for an exotic. We appreciate the care she was given here and will definitely feel comfortable bringing our other birds to her in the future.

Shout-out to Juan and Dr. Dan for successfully obtaining my cat’s bloodwork! Despite being on gabapentin, my cat was still very skittish, but their patience, gentle handling, and expertise made all the difference. Dr. Dan is truly a "cat whisperer." I’m so grateful for their compassionate care—highly recommend this clinic to any cat owner!

The staff is truly genuine, kind and patient. The staff went above and beyond to even help me with getting my dog into my car, as I was unable to do so myself. The vet was compassionate, as well as the rest of the staff. If you are looking for a genuine, kind and patient vet, this is the place. Their genuine love for animals really shines through the work they do.Thank you all for the excellent care. You've been wonderful and buddy will be back to see you all soon.

Allentown Animal Care got my dog in immediately and seen within the hour (as a NEW patient) in the middle of a snowstorm when he was attacked by another dog. He is a rescue dog who is scared of vets, and he was so terrified after the attack we couldn't even get a muzzle on him. Despite this they still managed to thoroughly examine & feel his neck and throat. We went home with antibiotics + meds for the pain and swelling and he was feeling like himself in 48 hours. Thank you so much for not only fitting us in during an extremely hectic evening, but for your concern and compassion.

My dog was told he needs surgery, I called 3 times in 2 weeks to have the vet call me back regarding further questions I had. All 3 times I was told I would receive a call back and never did. I paid over $400 to have X-rays under sedation as I was told it would be the only way to get the images needed. I received a second opinion and again despite numerous calls the X-rays and report were never sent. X-rays were repeated at that office without sedation and they had no issues get what was needed. So again I ask why didn’t Allentown try? Why did I pay over $400 unnecessarily. I called for my dogs pain medication, never received a call that it was ready. It was Christmas Eve and they closed in 15 minutes. Closed the next day and then we got the snow and ice and I worked. I was never offered to pay over the phone and they could leave it in a drop box or call it into a local pharmacy. My dog is 7 and have been going there since I got him. Never needed them for anything other than routine care. Majorly disappointing and will never be returning! I have found much better care for my poor pup who is already scheduled for surgery and in much less pain. This has been ongoing with them since September as they told me he did not have an ACL tear without even doing X-rays. And just kept getting worse.
