I took my dog, Mocha, to this clinic today for a wellness check-up and a necessary procedure, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The clinic was spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They welcomed us right on time, and the service was excellent from start to finish. It has been challenging to find a clinic in the area that truly takes the time to check dogs thoroughly, but this place exceeded my expectations. The doctor did a comprehensive examination—checking Mocha’s heart, lungs, hips, teeth, and more—while explaining everything in detail. The technician was also wonderful—kind, professional, and gentle with Mocha. If you’re looking for a clinic where your pet will receive top-notch care, I highly recommend this one. Your furry friend will be in great hands!

I just moved to the area and found Murphy pet Hospital for my dog, it has been an amazing experience. Dr. Henken is so lovely and so patient we did a procedure for our dog, which was very smooth and they do great follow up and they’re very available for any questions. I highly highly recommend.

I've been taking my dog here for almost a year and have had a great time. The staff are all really helpful and are kind to our fur baby. I also love that they have the best little treats for my dog. The photo booth they set up for different seasons is truly my favorite part though! ☺️ If you use chewy it's a bit annoying since you have to do a little more work to set up med orders. It's a mail in processes vs internet upload prescriptions to chewy.

Wonderful staff provides fabulous and thorough care. All treatment options are discussed and explained up front in detail, including details on costs before treatment begins with no pressure. Highly recommended!

While the hospital is very swanky and the service very slick, the actual substance/quality of the medical advise was pathetic. We took our golden retriever here as he had red skin and displayed symptoms of allergies. The doctors here looked at him and told us that he has "allergies". When asked to what he is allergic to, they told us it's environmental and that nothing can be done. The only suggestes solution - keep coming back to the clinic to get Cytopoint injections (each visit ~100$) once a month. Thankfully, we were not convinced and reached out to a different doctor who correctly diagnosed a yeast infection and provided us with a clear long term sustainable solution to our problem (which is basically home cooked food, no more kibble). Just to make sure we not being misled yet again, we also reached out to a third doctor, who also confirmed this diagnosis. Murphy pet hospital never even suggested that a yeast infection could be a cause. Looks like they wanted a subscription business out of my pet and not to really solve or diagnose the underlying problem. The icing on the cake: They report everything to pet insurance companies, so be careful, your premiums will change and you will not be reimbursed for anything they report as "pre-existing". This makes sense given they don't really diagnose the root cause anyway and anything and everything becomes pre-existing.

This local vet manged my families cat and now manages our new puppy. Ken is very kind and the puppy always likes him. The location is convenient as it’s by downtown and the Sunnyvale train station. Vet has two entrances to isolate cats and dogs. Update May 2022, this morning Boo passed when she was hit by a car in front of the house. I put her in the car to take to see Dr Ken, and the staff there were incredibly kind. She had passed in route there while I pet her and told her it would be ok. Staff cleared a room for her and were present to help with the grief that comes with losing a pet way to early. Thanks for being so kind. Miss you Boo. Further update: We got a letter in the mail from the vet and EVERYONE who works there hand wrote is a note about how sorry they were that Boo passed and how much they thought she was such a good dog. I can’t express how great these vets are. Further update The team switch locations to a fancy new spot in the new Sunnyvale downtown and it’s a swanky spot! My new pup Cody loves it and wasn’t scared or nervous at all being there. Thanks Dr Ken and Co.

We had a fantastic experience today with Murphy Pet Hospital! The entire team was incredibly thorough, taking the time to carefully examine my high maintenance pup and explain everything in detail. They never rushed through the appointment and made sure all my questions were answered, which gave me so much confidence in the care my pet was receiving. Beyond their expertise, they truly connected with both me and my dog, making the visit as stress-free as possible. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients, and I’m grateful to have found such a compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary team. Highly recommend!
